  1. We'll I think you'll need 2 looms for the clips, 2 ballasts and bulbs, 300 should do it. I have an extra ballast here but it's untested but with no reason to assume it doesn't work. Won't be up for sale until I sort another part out though.
  2. Boot still doesn't clear the latch in its own with unrated if it didn't before, search the 2 pennies trick or pennies trick, can't remember which it is. They also come with a fitting kit, ie. new ball joints so no need to cut anything. Personally for the sake of about £5 a pair, there's no reason not to go updated.
  3. I know I know, the badges will be gone when I get the chance!! Wasso, I think you should take a working holiday trip to Northern Ireland this year, Norman needs some magic hands!
  4. Sorry I didn't mean it's going to cost a fortune, just more than the £2 a wee clip like that should cost. I'm sure if you ask Alex he'll have a loom lying about that you need.
  5. Hopefully stage 3 will be soon. Any word on the "you know what"?
  6. Stage 2 has just kicked in, this is getting kind of serious!!! New LED rears just arrived today after being ordered from the states on Sunday. Effing remarkable shipping time!! They have a few more LED's than the OEM facelift ones but cost literally half the price. Lets just hope they fit as well! PS - could a MOD move this to the build section please since it's heading that way?
  7. I want to swap my black for some Alezan, but being in Northern Ireland makes it a bit difficult because one or both parties would have to go without the car for a few days.
  8. TBH, I think Alex is the best man to ask about this, but I don't see why it's not just a matter of changing the connectors. However, you can't buy the connectors on their own, you have to get the whole loom which is quite pricey when all you actually need is one connector from it. I had a situation where the previous owner had done a botch job repairing the O/S headlamp on my UK, where the ballast had got soaked and it was replaced by one of those chinese HID kits that you can buy for any car. In doing so they chopped off the connector and I had to source a new one from Alex, only to be told I had to buy the whole loom if I wanted to put it back to OEM ballast like it should have been done in the first place. Had to be done though! Infact, it probably cost the previous own more to get this done that to just buy a ballast for £90 online
  9. Thanks, I'm holding off anyway until after I do the other visual mods to the car so I can see how low a front lip and skirts will sit, but having said that, I think I'll end up with the Teins despite the harder ride. If I could justify it, it's go coil overs and drop about 20mm I think.
  10. Ah ok, When I was thinking about one I was looking at the cheaper/older end of the 911 scale
  11. This one? http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/66582-19-rota-grids-fitted/#entry988962 Doesn't actually look much different than 350AD's TBH, but I bet in the flesh it looks much lower. Personally i couldn't manage with a 30mm drop. It would look better standing still i imagine, but there are places i cant go/drives i cant get up on the Teins so Eibachs wouldn't really work. At least me and S1 HNK can provide you with the pictures you need to decide yourself This is whats holding me off just going 30mm, bloody speed bumps which we have a few around here. All can be avoided if necessary, but i'd prefer to have it looking as I want plus go where I want.
  12. The wonky plate one is ironically the best IMO

    350 coilovers

How low are the springs? Much more than 25-30mm can get expensive with having to buy additional camber arms etc...
  14. Easy to get, cost about £160 from locksmiths or main dealer, that's what I was quoted anyway. Other option is to get a blank from eBay, buy the chip fit it and get locksmith to code. Might save ya a few quid...
  15. Yes, not a fan because if how it covers over the bumper, but something of similar shape that's just attached the the bottom of OEM bumper might be nice...
  16. Isn't there an annual check for the 911 in between services, £125 I think with a main dealer. Forgot to add that in earlier.
  17. I have the SGS engineering ones too. The fitting is perfect and they work well. Get the updated ones just incase you want to fit a spoiler some time, they're only a few quid extra. Also note the price they list is excluding VAT, think mine cost me £72 delivered but that's cause I'm in Nirthern Ireland.
  18. Repairs, yes, but not servicing. 350's need serviced every year, p1, p2, p1, p3. £170ish for P1 and £250-£300 for P2 and P3. The BMW needs serviced only every second year at about £250. Ofcourse there are always specialists and indy's who can do both cars for much cheaper. Even Porsche servicing is reasonable for Boxsters and Carrera's. Anyway... For £25 budget does it have to be new? Because a not too old 911 can be had for that money which will be fast and eat any annual mileage you throw at it. Plus, it's a Porsche Every 2 years? Really?! I find that hard to believe After owning 2 Audi's (same premium German brand crap) I couldn't believe the cost of servicing alone, luckily I had no repair bills as it was under warranty One of the DSG boxes needed replacing on my 2nd Audi, I asked them what it would cost if it wasn't under warranty and they quoted me "in the region of £7,000" :scare: :scare: :scare: Every 2 years is the service schedule, of course if you're doing 20k a year it'll need done annually. The girlfriend just bought an 09 1 series from a main dealer and it doesn't need touched until 2015 according to the dealer and the onboard computer.
  19. I took a look on Demon Tweeks as I've been thinking about a knob replacement since I got the car, just not keen on shelling out £100 for the Nismo ones, as nice as they are. Unfortunately, I now like these..! http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/gear-knobs/auto-style-indy-cator-gearknobs don't do it!!!!

  21. and I love the Sunset Orange and want the Alezan Leather in my Kuro black!
  22. Sounds like you got a decent price Gearknob depends on what you want to spend. Are you looking a Nismo at quite a premium price, or just something nice to replace the old OEM? I personally just went for something to replace it and bought a Richbrook one for £25. I think halford stock them and Demon Tweeks have a huge stock or OMP, Sparco etc if you want something a little more fancy. Otherwise Steve and Redline as previously mentioned has some awesome Nismo's. Try http://www.sgs-engineering.com/gas-struts/car-boot-tailgate/nissan/350z for the struts. I just fitted some of theirs a couple of weeks ago and they fit really well and both cost about half the price of one from Nissan. I also suggest you pay the extra few quid and get the uprated ones (for Nismo spoiler) incase in the future you decide you want to fit some kind of wing. G'luck.
  23. Personally I like the universal ones you currently do with custom made brackets. Maybe a purpose built one for the Z would be a great option? I like the combination of both it has, ie. the slats from the common diffuser (only more aggressive) and the vortex generators from the Top Secret one. (But less aggressive) Could you pm me a price for the universal one with brackets to fit please?
  24. 30k miles, immaculate 03-04 I would say close to £7k if it has a decent tax, mot and tyres.
