  1. Tardis (or alternative tar and glue remover if you must) will shift that. Soak some sheets of kitchen roll in it, lay it over the silicon, leave for a couple of minutes, use an old rag to wipe it off, repeat until done.
  2. He was quicker though, he just didn't want to take his team mate out by slinging up the inside. He overtook the car his teammate was struggling to overtake before Sainz had even finished his move! When he spun it was because of contact with his slower teammate. He soon caught Sainz again, proving again that he was quicker. He's not exactly Rosberg when he's losing/Alonso when he had a faster car/Vettle in general now is he?!
  3. I don't think he's arrogant, I think he knows exactly how good he is!
  4. Well at least the race was better than qualifying.
  5. At least it matches the rest of the car then
  6. Steam cleaner would be a last resort. Go to your local supermarket, get some all purpose cleaner (liquid, any brand will do even the cheapest of the cheap stuff) and as many microfibre cloths you can carry. Dilute the APC, dampen (dampen, not wet!) one of the cloths with the solution, scrub a section of seat, use a clean, dry cloth to dry the seat. Repeat until done. If you're finding a cloth isn't lifting much more dirt, you may have to resort to a nail brush to scrub.
  7. The fact that the teams didn't understand the rules any more than anyone else was both concerning and massively moronic. Like I said before, I like the concept but the execution was poor at best. On the bright side, the rumours are that everyone is now pushing for something else (anything else in most cases!) for the next race already.

Because the risk algorithm includes more than just engine size in the calculation.
  9. The same thing it's always been; Bernie's personal revenue stream marketed as the pinnacle of motorsport.
  10. I hate to say I told you so.... But you were informed thusly.
  11. Not when Tesla bring out their super duper mega charger. Which they've not designed yet. Just overlook the 10 year gap in the two technologies would you, there's a good chap.
  12. Officially the only place to buy their products are from their local franchisee rep. This will undoubtedly mean that it'll cost the individual more for small or one off purchases, but the price will be determined by your local rep. It also means you have to arrange a time to meet your local rep.
  13. "Permanent" in regards to LSP is a very different prospect to any other meaning of the word. Expect 2-3 years or expect to top up regularly and you won't be far off though. I'm looking forward to seeing how that holds up though, particularly against stone chips.
  14. Tardis is awesome stuff for removing tar, however with Autosmart's recent decision regarding distribution it's not necessarily easy to get hold of these days - absolutely do NOT buy from eBay!! Regarding the yellower contaminants, they're likely to be iron deposits so you will probably need a fallout remover too. Your theory is the correct order, fallout remover would follow tar remover.
  15. Ceramic won't stop stone chips. Nor last 6 years.

    Oh yay, this again... Sigh.
  19. This. Unless it's an agreed value policy, the purpose of that question goes only so far as to determine the perceived risk and thus your premium. It'll have no bearing on any payout. As for "adding value" by doing essential maintenance; you're replacing warn consumables at worst and modifying at best - banana arm bushes will be consumables, exhaust would be a modification. They'll take the modification into account (unless you're with the Admiral group, then they wont) when paying out provided it was correctly declared, but consumables are an expected cost of ownership. You wouldn't expect the insurance company to chuck in another £70 because you filled the petrol tank the day before it was stolen would you?!
  20. A light layer of paint over it, hides the damage but light enough to still see the weave through it like the F40. If I've understood modding correctly you can then claim they're Ferrari wing mirrors too. (I'm not helping am I? ) P.s. I was being flippant about the £3k btw.
  21. Honestly im not even joking I tell people I've got a guy who we use as a technical advisor who tests detailing products.......That would be you Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk I'll send over my invoice.
  22. What's £3k when you're selling McLarens anyway? Personally, I'd rather spend my time trying to persuade McLaren to rethink their pricing than trying to do anything with that!
