I've just sold my Bose headunit on here and I was told by the buyer that he will be sending it to these guys to get divorced for £35+VAT - http://www.mapleaudio.co.uk/

Considered the JVC 740 or 840? Just installed an 840 and it's been perfect so far. Car Audio Centre price matched it on Amazon so it was only £330 + £8 delivery.

Got the exhaust alignment issue sorted. They charged me £33 and said it was down to the poor fitment of the K2. Which is fair enough as I know it isn't the best fitting but just irritating that it was perfect when it went in and if it had to be pulled back a 1/4" then it would still be perfect, just a 1/4" further back! Installed my new head unit at the weekend as well, JVC AVX-840 and installed my custom made iPhone 4 mount in the cubby. Will put some photo's of it up later this evening, looks bloody good if I do say so myself! Also took the car to RS Tuning to get it remapped after the Berks + '06 airbox mod, gained 17lb/ft and went from 294bhp to 301.6bhp. Will post photos of that up in the thread later as well. He said it was running very lean with the Berks so good job I got it done! Only cost £100+VAT for an hour on the RR plus petrol to Leeds and back.

Out of stock! The internet nerds must have gotten hold of them all!

Bought the 840! Managed to get it for £331 and then £8 postage. Will be installing it this weekend. Any tips on installing a headunit? I remember reading somewhere there's a certain way of doing it? ie remove new headunit cage and use existing one, or something along those lines?

I just bought their other game, Game Dev Story. Remember hearing about it ages ago so thought I'd grab it. Good so far but after playing the demo for an hour it says "buy the full version now", which you do, but then you have to start again Will definitely be getting this in a few days, had £50 of Apple vouchers given to me when I left my job a few weeks ago, time put them to good use!

What are these like in terms of lasting when you're driving between snowy/wet/icey/dry roads? My commute is 9 miles each way and the route I take would probably be a mixture of ice/slush/dry patches.

I was about to say, since when did British Gas engineers turn up on the job in zeds

Check with that, when we moved to our new house we got the landlord to terminate everything. Changing the phoneline to Sky saved us money on the line rental and unlimited downloads was win win. Depends what you're after though! I wouldn't get Sky internet if I didn't have Sky TV.
-
If you want cable go for Virgin. If you want ADSL then go O2 or Sky. Sky doesn't require you to be on their phone line, I'm sure of it. If you download a lot, then Virgin/Sky are the best as O2 has a cap and restrictions on whenyou can download. Sky is unlimited 24/7. Virgin is capped unless you get the top package I think. Also, checkout topcashback/quidco for Virgin/Sky/O2, they normally have HUGE cashback on them making it very cheap internet for the year!

What you need to upgrade your 350z Audio System

This might be a stupid question, and I'm sure it's answered in the OP but I wanted to check before ordering the cables. To fit a JVC I need the ICT 29-645 or ICT 29-674? The descriptions of both products say for use with an aftermarket head unit but is the 674 for an aftermarket Bose headunit where as the 645 will work with any other make? -
How much have these gone for in the past? I was going to get a new headunit in a month or so but with being able to sell the bluetooth adaptor and the Bose headunit I might do it sooner if they're worth anything half decent! My Bose is in perfect working order, no skipping tracks or scratches/marks on it that I've noticed.

I'm off there Saturday 17th for a remap. Fitted HFC's and the 06 airbox mod, was 294bhp before so hoping it breaks 300!

Good to see that offers back! Stuck £75 in a few days ago but should be going shopping again next week. I might put the shopping through as 2 separate payments as we normally spend over £120, get a cheeky extra voucher

Looks Pretty sure I could stick my head up that tailpipe!

Been waiting months for BF3, hopefully all the kiddies and chumps stick to running around MW3 trying to find exploits!

Just to say I'm currently running a K2 and without ever having the stock to compare it to, it's exactly the type of exhaust I wanted. No real noise until you put your foot down, motorway cruising it's fine and you can hear the radio/talk to passenger fine. It doesn't look daft, or sound daft but has a nice rumble to it when you want it do, I'm sure a few other people on here will be able to advise on other exhausts. just had some Berk HFCs fitted and now it's a different story, louder through low/mid range, but the noise it makes is

Are you looking new or 2nd hand as well?

How do people rate 452's in the wet? Whenever it's been fairly wet on the ground I've not been impressed by them, even when it's not completely full of puddles outsides I can always feel a lack of grip on corners. They're got a good amount of tred on them, might just be me being picky! Tempted to get some Vred's come winter time.

Taking the car in on Tuesday so they can look at it whilst I'm there. They said the Berk HFCs werre shorter than stock ones so they have to move everything forward. Everything's been put on properly and tightened etc so they think a wonky issue is down to the exhaust by the sounds of it. But surely if I brought it in and it was perfect, fitted 2 exact same sized cats, albeit shorter than what was on there, surely the change should be exactly the same on both pipes and not wonky as it is? By the sounds of it on the phone they said they spent a fair amount of time on the car getting the Berks on as they had to alter something on the exhaust and it sounds like they're reluctant to do anything else for free, hope not as they came highly recommended from few people!
-
Bah! Was hoping people would say its my wonky eyes! Taking it back is a right pain, have to wait until the weekend which means I can't go get it remapped or in the week somehow but I just started a new job today so can't really take an afternoon off!
-
Ah ok, I was tempted to get over to Leeds this weekend for a remap but depends if I get time! I just got the car back and driving it back, just wow! Didn't expect that much of a change in the sound, sounds awesome! Only thing I noticed when driving it was when I get to over 4.5k there seems to be some sort of vibration coming from under the car on some part of the exhaust. Is this normal? When the garage phoned me the guy mentioned that the Berks were shorter than the stock cats so they had to "trim off back box hanger fixings and realign exhaust center and back box", in their words. I thought they would be a straight swap? There was definitely no vibration before I took the car in. When I picked up the car I was in a rush as it was 6:25pm and they were waiting around for me, nice of them, but when I got the car home I've noticed the exhaust doesn't look like it's centered properly, again something I never noticed before taking the car in. I don't want to be picky as they seemed to be really decent people at Lockwood but with vibrations and wonky looking exhaust I might have to go back at the weekend :/ Here's some photos of the wonkyness, unless it's just me!

Those first 2 photographs look sweeeeeet!

Who was it that was selling the high quality replicas? Can't remember which trader! I just remember them saying that they were of a very good quality and wondered if it was Tarmac for a direct comparison!
