  1. I just bought pretty much this whole setup from Adrian apart from the arbs-no doubt he'll try and flog me those soon aswell. Looking forward to getting it all on.
  2. Never driven either but a 911 is famous for it's traction so I wouldn't consider 4wd. Plus you can do skids with rwd which may sound pointless/scary until you get the hang of it then its awesome. Plus you can back a 911 in with the rear weight so doing skids is very important. I want one
  3. They do (and it was the case with Bridgestone and others before Pirelli got the contract) but its down to the teams to ensure the wheels are then fitted on the correct sides as we see when the blankets go on with the directional arrows but I doubt very much that several teams would end up 'swapping sides' with the wheels and if anyone saw an advantage doing that it would be Red Bull who didn't have the issue....... but its fitting of the tyre to the rim thats the issue and not the wheel to the car. If the inner designated edge of tyre is been fitted to outer odge of the wheel ( so effectively the tyre is the wrong way round) then this is where the issue happens at pirelli. The wheels can then just be mounted on opposite sides though surely?
  4. I ran 40 profile mps3 on rays with no problems Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
  5. I would disagree here. one of the most important aspects of good track driving Is where you focus your eyes. Even when close behind someone you want to be looking through their car at your apex or as far down the circuit as possible on exit. Looking at somebody elses car or a few metres in front of you is definitely not the way to do it. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Great video so far - I'm about 10 mins in. However if I see any more four-ring badges between now and Monday I think I'm going to powerslide my Zed through the local Audi showroom window!
  7. Reminded me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0i5vpkTU5w
  8. Hi, I'm in Endmoor, just south of Kendal. Had a great Blast last weekend from Endmoor, via Kendal to Sedbergh - then back down to Kirkby-Lonsdale. One of my new favourite routes. Shame the greasy butty from Devil's bridge spoiled an otherwise perfect morning! If you ever see a GM Zed with a Nismo V2 front and V1 spoiler thats me
  9. HAHAHA. i did this when i was at uni. 3 am, exam the next day and 2 guys having a water fight. one of them got more wet than he had anticipated to the OP. low powered airsoft gun - its what they were invented for before ex-military folk started shooting each other with them
  10. I thought I would post this as a rough guide to anyone who has no idea about putting FI on a car. Obviously there are some vehicle specific differences. ie, most turbo kits for the Z have twin setups but maybe this will help to reduce the number of questions posted. Also the full length versions are a good watch.

  12. Aren't they put up there with a gun? Yeah. they use a female version of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9n_r9UZUlj0

Yikes. don't know which one is yours but the suspension set-up on the left hand car makes me want to roll my face around on my keyboaasdfGFDGAHGSDGhdh
  14. they're bloody quick! I think they're awesome but very uncomprimised (is that a word?) though. A bloke at my work had an M coupe. He drives like a fanny and only gets cars like that to pose around in - in fact he's just taken delivery of a 2l diesel SLK. However if you want raw, simple, punch in the kidneys speed and controversial styling (i love the looks) then they're brilliant
  15. Sexy car! i like the wheels on it.
  16. I like it. black wheels on black can look a bit lost imho unless you have propper batmobile styling
  17. Get one of these: The CG-Lock, not the girl. It straps your hips and bum to the back of the seat. it's very effective and costs a lot less than harnesses and buckets. plus you don't look like a clampet driving around the roads in full racing gear. EDIT: ^^ someone beat me to that suggestion
  18. just had a look at the calander and i might try and get on the 18th of july track day.
  19. notcied you've been there a few times. is that your local circuit? i'd love to give Cadwell a go this year
  20. It will sound raspy. to me it sounds like the cats are the last thing you should change to get your desired sound. If you want bowel moving soudn get a buddyclub - it's not for the faint-hearted though. Or if you want a good exhaust system the best options seem to be invidia gemini or milltek - these replace the standard y-pipe and both sound really nice but not too loud (relatively speaking) - your choice depending on whether you want a true dual or not. Or if you want a nice loud induction parp coming through the bulkead then a JWT-pop charger or similar cone filter will give you this for a lower cost than an exhaust. As i said, if you dont like rasp then the standard system with decats is probably the worst thing you can do.

Yes be careful with his bit. some people (including the place that fitted mine) put this section in back to front so it sticks down
