  1. I have been very curious as to how a generator can be fitted to a turbo: So many issues come into my head regarding the difference in rotational velocity, heat and back pressure from generator load damaging the turbines. And this is only one small aspect of the regs changes. On the other hand, if this technology filters down to road cars we could all have some Interesting drive trains in a decades time. I'm actually quite exited about it.
  2. Looks like the gloves are finally off for Webber. should be a good race tomorrow if he can hold his tyres together! Also, i know he hasn't got pole but i have been waiting weeks to post this: Another top performance by the Hulk, And Riciardo it has to be said!
  3. Typical Audi derv driver quoting his torque figure because his engine only revs to fifteen hundred
  4. I don't normally go for these impact text things but my mate posted this to me and it cracked me up!!
  5. Congrats to Seb, and Well done Daryl. I bet you can't wait to go to work on Monday. Enjoy your bonus

    Chav's

    They're long gone

    Chav's

For me the worst chav cars are the latest generation of sub-sport badge cars we're seeing now. I mean 2.0 diesel salloons with ///M, S-line or AMG badges on. The badge is purely so the chav owner can tell all their mates that they have the M3 when really they just have a boring sh*t box. A guy at work has a SLK 200d with an AMG badge and red seatbelts and he thinks it's a sportier car than the Z. Yes, he is a chav!!!
  8. Basically what I am saying is, whether you think he is a good driver or not is irrelevant. The FACT is that he is one of the best drivers in F1 history. I can see why people might not be a fan of him bit I think he has done enough to earn the respect of true racing fans and as such the booing is somewhat undeserved.
  9. Thanks for the link. I was thinking that post was very well written for a forum jockey then saw at the end that is is one of monkey's. In my opinion every true Motorsport fan shares the same opinion. People are very welcome to their own opinion as to whether they like him or not but it winds me up when people just talk verbal diorreah and make false sweeping statements. Let me explain: F1 is more popular now than ever and as such the voice of your casual race day viewer is getting louder and shouting "Vettel can't race!" And "it's only because he has the fastest car." Call me arrogant but these people's opinions aren't worth a penny and I'll happily cheer on Vettel if it means these people shut up and go back to saying who should really have been in man u's back 4.
  10. With comments like that nobody apart from the odd bandwagon rider will take any notice of your opinion again. Today was possibly the strongest team performance from him, his engineer and the rest of the RB team I can remember.
  11. mine does too, but only the rears have centre caps left in. nvm bud!
  12. Half of them do already anyway. Koboyashi should be back next year as he had lots of fund raising events this year to get the cash to come back. He's doing well at WEC as well. . Tbh it's not such a bad thing because I get to meet all the ex F1 drivers at lower profile events.
  13. Just a side note about drivers. I think we're going too see a lot more drivers who come with a fat stack of cash with the costs increase from next year. It's a real shame. If you look at the truly talented drivers who don't have money they are dominating other motorsports right now. If you take Buemi and Algasuari for example. Neither of them got picked up when TR had to make way for their next young drivers just as they were settling into F1 nicely. Now Buemi is arguably the fastest driver in LeMan and WEC. Also Bianci has proved my point against chilton this year
  14. This is a long shot BBK but if you dont need all of those caps i could do with 2 of them. my front ones are scatterred around oulton park somewhere
  15. McLaren will never win the championship with their current driver line up unless they somehow gain a massive performance advantage next year. Given that they haven't had a decent car since LH won the championship I would say that ain't gonna happen.
  16. I hear people say its confirmed but I do t have a link. Engines are open but have controlled fuel flow depending in how much hybrid system they are using. I have this link which is a good read but a bit old. http://sportscar365.net/wec/toyota-reveals-details-on-2014-lmp1-car/
  17. They we probably all completely knackered. When Horner said it was tiring on the pitlane, the drivers all had a look of, "shut up you mincer try driving it" about them. I can't wait for webber to go to the WEC next year. However Porsche have announced that they might be using a turbo 4-banger in their car so I might still be rooting for Toyota!! On that note did anyone watch the 6 hours of cota last night?
  18. In fairness, he received a reprimand for hitching a lift. It was his 3rd of the season which earned him a 10 place grid penalty. It was for returning to the circuit without the permission of the stewards. I don't think 'hitching a lift' is in the rule book, hehe.
  19. It seems petty to give him a penalty for that but if that's what the rules are then they must be followed consistently.
  20. Vettel is just unstoppable this season. I think he's handled the negativity towards him very well also. That performance today was unbelievable. The rest of the field look merely amature by comparison. Great call by Ferrari and Alonso today too.
  21. Those end fences make it look like an Evo spoiler mounted upside down
  22. Maybe Ferrari have finally pulled their heads out of their arses then. If massa did half as well as Alonso over the past few years Ferrari would have been in with a shout at the cobstructor's championship. Kimi and Alonso has got cobstructor's championship written all over it IMHO
  23. I'm sure they will return to form soon. They can't afford not too!! However I don't think they have a very good driver line up. Perez is average and JB is very good on his day but its not his day very often. Mercedes have a huge budget and some big players In their team. I would say they are the favourites for next year performance wise. However I don't like to speculate too much. As I said in my last post there is sure to be some kind of double diffuser moment with such a big shake up in the regs. I think the lower teams will be nowhere near the front runners next year too.
