  1. hahaha. love how he keeps turning the engine over when its on fire
  2. Thanks mate they were 4 stroke 200CC
  3. not to sure what the fault could be but i would definitely reccommend a throttle blip if you're going to be changing to 2nd at 30. your transmition (and passenger) will thank you for it. plus it's more rewarding
  4. Give them a ring. i got my bumper from them recently and i don't think they really check forum messages any more. so they may not be totally up to date on the website either phone number: 01509 211 888 Tell them you're on 350Z-uk and you have tried contacting them and you should get 10% forum discount. EDIT: also i didn't get any response from emailing them so phone call is definitely the way to do it
  5. Yeah we were meant to go to that 3-story one in warrington but my mate who booked it l;eft it too late. you could go an give it a try. it's not far from you. if anything it was more enjoyable than a track day because you get to race against people. The marshall was really sound as well. He encouraged racing and cheered whenever someone made a decent pass. all in with track day price including consumables like fuel and brakes, the karting probably wasn't far off 10% of the cost of a track day. The speed is no-where near the same and the difficulty level is definitely higher in the Z though which makes a hot lap more rewarding. But the fact that I could to 10 karting GPs - in someone elses kart - for the price of one day at oulton makes a few different karting sessions seem a bit more attractive than doing a lot of track days this year. I dread to think how many car alarms you would set off razzing up a multi with your buddy club
  6. I've seen these before but they made it look much cooler
  7. Hope you or whoever's it is gets it back. Akrapovic exhaust
  8. Well if i ever was going to win at anything it's either paintball or driving. Probably says a lot about my personality... I'm going to go to the karting place in Warrington for my birthday i think. looks a lot more technical than Barrow and it's on 3 floors, which will be wierd
  9. Got this on my friends leaving do at Cumbria Karting on Saturday. I do a few tack days but have never done karting before apart from a 10 min run on my 10th birthday. I had soooo much fun. 13 of us went. i was quietly confident but some of my friends aren't bad drivers so i didn't want to get my hopes up. each of us do 5 8-lap heats where you start at varying places in the grid. i managed 3 1sts and 2 thirds which put me in pole position on points for the final. some of the best fun was starting at the back and fighting my way up the field. This is the element that i really miss when doing track-days. i absolutely loved getting up the inside of my friends into the first corner and taking the chequered flag from starting 5th was definately my most satisfying moment. had a great battle round 2 corners with one mate. My friend Kieran, who -first of the excuses- is about a stone lighter than me, with whom i'd been swapping fastest laps with all day despite not really getting a chance to race him, was in second. I knew i had to get a good start and 'break the DRS' (lol) so that i could get some good laps in without having to defend. i knew that i was stong on the last corner and had a good chance of doing this. Managed to get a great exit out of the last corner on the formation lap (flying start) and had a bit over a second by the end of the first lap. I then pumped in some quick laps, bouncing my ass off in the seat (this really helps get speed up down the long straight out of the slow corners, but i have the bruises to show for it) and i got the gap to about 2 seconds and started to settle in. However, Kieran smelled blood and pumped in 3 amazing laps towards the end which were all faster (just ) than my fastest of the day. But i had got the job done and took the chequered flag, absolutely buzzing and exhausted from the constant chase and pressure. this is possibly the most fun i have EVER had. Taking the chequered flag was AMAZING. Some of you who read my posts will no how much i love motorsport and taking the top step of the podium was like a glipse of my dream lifestyle. Even if it was in a ware-house on an industrial estate in barrow -in-furness. Here's a photo of the podium. i was absolutely knackered but elated. the only downside was that there was that there was no champagne. please excuse the sweat and scruffs
  10. someone got a bonus from winning the contructors' last year.
  11. The OP did not start an auction it was another member. He also has not been on the forum since the 27th. so it might find it's way into deleted soon. (or when people stop having fun with the thread ) Having fun? my bid of £4,100 is very serious and still stands
  12. 8.5k seems a bit steep for a private sale, £4,100
  13. well i have no plans to sell the Z so i wont bid more than i have right now don't think that would be his desired price, None-the-less, £3,400
  14. needed to get it done quick mate. the pads are easily removable. i'll work on it, along with a more legitimate plate next week
  15. yeah, it looked different on the online picture. i've just got it on temporary. i've ordered a wider one.
  16. If this was America, the guy who put the CCTV up would definitely have shot the little bastards.
  17. It's not my choice, but knowing how many of the forum's motorsport fans feel, I'm suprised i haven't seen someone post this yet, Sorry Daryl...
  18. I went for the sticky tabs, tie wraps and extra glue method. it's also held on quite solidly in the middle where the bumper is strapped between the mesh and my number plate. There's a pic here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/70256-nismo-v2-fitted-zeditus-is-taking-hold/page__st__20
  19. Ok so i have fitted my (ebay description quote) "GRILL BUMPER BLACK MESH 125CM x 25CM For FERRARI" even though it is a ferrari fitment it fit my car pretty good and there was very fast delivery. also properly fitted my supersized number plate. more pic whoring of the same bumper incoming... I thought i would represent a bit on my number plate as well I know it looks a bit like a 2, not a Z but that's just the font I really like the first pic, might make it into a banner
  20. thats probably a bit clearer than my bar twisting analogy. same principal though, the power is equal. say big guy has ten units of torque and ten rotational speed in his pedalling and the skinny has only 5 torque but twenty rotational speed, they create the same power = torque x rotational speed
  21. electric cars are expensive. why give people who can afford a brand new leaf AND another car a tax break. load of trollup. plus having 2 cars means that twice the manufacturing has gone into it so its hardly eco friendly. especially when the batteries are put together over almost every continent in the world but all thats an argument worthy of it's own thread
