  1. They are possibly the best offerings that audi has (aside from the R8 obviously). Quattro is more of a game changer than something i would ever desire or want. Audi RS4 - no thanks. Maybe a B7, but even then the equivalent AMG or BMW seem much more exciting. Also It does'nt help that every audi i've ever driven has been a numb, boring, harsh, crashy, understeering heffalump. Not forgetting the people who know nothing about cars that think they are sporty. But please don't get me started. I really like the R8 and that's what the thread's about
  2. Yeah. But, for me, that makes sense as i pretty much hate all audis exept the R8. The advert is the same
  3. yeah i nearly blew my speakers. I think my neighbours will have enjoyed it too
  4. Saw this on the TV the other day. You never really see this sort of thing in car adverts but i think it's awesome, especially in HD. Don't know if i prefer this or the GT86 advert but here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0gvqLZIQss
  5. Plenty of grip but horrible chassis balance and handling. Also i find the ride in them pretty terrible. I can see why people like them as they have decent interiors and strong engines, not forgetting the all important audi status. But i wouldn't recommend one to the OP if he wants something fun.
  6. Please don't become a motoring journalist now mate.
  7. If you want the best driver's diesel i would say a BMW. Anything from VAG will probably be well made (although interior quality depending on whether you go skoda, vw, audi etc) but a bit dull to drive. Mazda 6 are meant to be a good drive but i don't know what they're like to live with. You could also look at a turbo petrol engine. the economy isn't bad on the ones from the last 10 years or so and they're usually cheaper to buy than the equivalent DERV. depends how many miles you do though.
  8. Dont know about that but maybe someone could stretch to one of these: You could always give it a lick of turquoise paint
  9. Maybe they just wanted to give you plenty of time to sh*g your cousins so that you will feel right driving it.
  10. Supply and demand i guess. Also JDM Zeds are cheaper than uk ones because they tend to have worse spec and be more on insurance
  11. There's plenty of cubbies in the Z If you chop them up small enough.
  12. I don't think any outside assistance was required
  13. He's a tosser so it's funny
  14. I bet you wouldn't have the same opinion if i told you that you had to run 452s on your 911
  15. well, maybe not 10, but the fastest lap was set by Gutierez (lol, shows how hard the front runners were pushing!!) at 1:26.2 which is 6 seconds of the Qualy pace, which is quite a lot. Bear in mind that most of the race was run at a considerably slower pace than this. Watching the on-boards, I get closer to the limits of grip in my work Citroen Berlingo van than those guys were on Sunday. it was like watching one of your track videos
  16. The cars are driving round 10 seconds of the pace. they do need to change quite a bit.
  17. Wise decision. Ecclestone needs to shut his trap, lol. darylee tyres was his idea in the first place
  18. I just typed a massive reply then realized how much of a **** i sounded. I'll sum it up here: If you can handle a bit of oversteer then turn the TC off and go balls out. If you can't, buy another car
  19. Now you mention it my nismo sticker felt like it gave me at least 28 bhp. Good for you but reducing unsprung weight makes a massive difference to the way the car drives. yes, unsprung weight is the worst kind but thats more regarding the way the suspension reacts, not straight line performance. Especially considering the spacers are on the hub so they will have very little inertia.
