  1. https://carbuzz.com/news/meet-the-mclaren-speedtail-the-fastest-and-most-powerful-mclaren-ever-made So there it is the anticipated McLaren F1 'successor'... I thought they might try and keep to the same principles, light, well packaged, compact (to an extent as most Mclaren's are...) and yet this thing shows up. It looks like an unfinished 1950's concept car. You get the Chiron, Agera's, wild but you could still drive about in them with it looking like...a car. This, dare I say in my honest opinion - and I will, I'd be embarrassed to drive about in that, it looks odd, not quite right. I know it matters not one wit to me or most of us ...anywhere, unless your a multi-millionaire but from the online 'noise' I've seen already on various sites, platforms and pictures, its not being well received. I can see why.... theres no need for it to be that long or have that front wheel design or the 'unfinished' front end. Anyway thats Mr Opinion's ...opinion lol. What are peoples thoughts?
  2. From years of messing around with the cars they've gave me as its where I took the Z for servicing etc, I grew to like the cars (except silly ones like the Q30... nice but I just, I dunno..no thanks lol). There is something there with Infiniti and sometimes its hard to justify. The looks are getting better and its always better to be unique, the interior quality reviews it gets, moan at it but tbh... its a lovely place to be in most of them, leather, piano black, some nice modern woodish tones... you'd be fine with them. But then they go and hold themselves back a bit with engines that are a bit slower than rivals, and when they are quicker there fuel economy and tax is much higher than others, which can be off putting. However... if you look at it from a used bargain perspective they can make sense. If your not too fussed on some of the running costs they can be a lot of car for the money (Q70 when tarted up with the big wheels is a nice big barge to be in). This is why I am sitting waiting over the next couple of year (short of nearly considering an auto 370Z very recently ) to see how the 3.0 Q60's fair. Basically I'm hoping they drop like a stone and if they do into the low 20's with reasonable mileage, I'll be seriously looking at them. 400+hp and AWD in a low price. And when you've came from a Z, £300ish tax and late 20mpg...is fine by me lol. Only thing that bothers me is the steering, I can live with the lightness... but I keep hearing reviews of it being twitchy and some have had dangerous experiences in wet conditions trying to counter steer (although they may just be a bit crap at driving who knows). I'd prob want to test a Q60 3.0 for a good run before considering. Besides that it'd be a nice used powerhouse. I do think however with them and some other manufacturers with all this new technology and electric crap... yes I do says crap.. its just something more complicated to break...or rather more expensive to fix. With regards to others the Stingers a good looking car and seems to get great reviews, I'd happily have one....IF ..I wanted a saloon but I don't. I'd like a coupe/GT thing. The Lexus does look ok to me (if not a bit bulky) however the RCF is heavy and slower than expected by a good margin, its also still quite expensive used for the poor effort. And I also looked at the lower end thinking they'd have a 300 odd bhp one but no... you either get the big thirsty V8 or.... the 300h and 200T...both of which are 7/8 second 'wonders' respectively. For the money they are slow under powered, especially with their weight. Lexus have missed the shot with the RC coupe's I think. Real shame. Infiniti really need to sort out that steering and then make a super powerful Q60 or the likes. They should have developed the Eau Rouge concept to production too, that would have got some people interested. ....oh and yes the 370Z Nismo Mk2 in red does look very different to most other sports cars on the road so does give a bit of supercar presence ....to an extent. Mk2's look the business IMO.
  3. Not those ones there horrid aswell i think. Theres 20 thicker multispoke it was launched with but for some reason you cant get them here.... odd.
  4. Gettin' too itchy and went and seen and test drove this today. Was pretty clean, cobra exhaust and 13k miles. Anyone recognise it? (Also had a lip spoiler on top of the existing). I was surprised how smooth the auto was. Decided to have a look as I def want an auto next, the 350s clutch just got on ma nerves in traffic and I'm gettin old-ish. (Also just fed up of the current little rot box ive got just now until Q60 RS prices come down lol)
  5. Not so fussed on the rims on this concept thing as who knows what it'll wear if they do decide to build it (they have a habit of not doing so with their concepts..). I am not a fan of the standard Q60 rims and its a shame we don't get the nicer 20's here that the US gets. I spent 5 years in a Z with no sat nav or infotainment thingy...and same with any car before it. I've had plenty of Infiniti courtesy cars so any modern system is better than no system, it wouldn't concern me all this two screen stuff. it works well enough.
  6. ..depends what decent mileage is to you. Mines left me with 102K miles and besides some stuff underneath needing done (as it sat out in all weathers) the engine was as quick as it was 5 year prior when I bought it lol. Even up to 50K, there should be nothing wrong with buying a car on miles. Just check as much as you can into the history and look for any tell tale signs its not been looked after. With Z's a good place to look is tyres, people 'in the know' as such will put only a few specific brands/types on. Not the b-all and end but it gives you a quick idea of what they've been like with the car. (MPSS, MPS4, even Falkens... lol)
  7. As above, my 350 would sometimes would be called a Porsche... which annoyed me lol I don't mind if its mistaken for the 6....have you seen the new ones? There pretty good lookin' as cars go.. simple and sleek. I went and seen a 3.0 Q60 at the weekend (to kinda make sure I'm happy to wait instead of financing something just for the hell of it lol) and I think I'll hold on to see how low they get but I am hearing the odd review about steering in them during wet motorway speeds being twitchy and kicking out...and it being hard to control as no feel in the steering. Slightly concerning lol...
  8. Hate the silly wing and bits on this. I've only ever driven the 2.0 Q60 and despite its steering it's not bad. I'm considering a 3.0 when the prices come down as it's a lot of kit and power for the money despite having some flaws (remind you of anything? lol) This one though.. a bit ... boy racer.

    import reg.

If in doubt or your not comfortable... go look for another one. Ultimately don't get your head in a twist over searching for something your not keen on taking on. There are still a reasonably amount out there to choose from
  10. There a lot of 'touched up' examples, keep looking though. When you find the right one it'll be worth it.
  11. I know of somebody on here that will like this...
  12. Ooooh, I don't usually like kits on the Z but that wing looks good... any more pics? lol
  13. plenty of posts on here to help and any questions fire away, lots of knowledge on here. (#getanHR)
  14. I'm hoping they do drop... cos despite the woeful steering, I wouldn't mind taking a 'cheapish' 400hp, AWD, auto/paddle set up in the 3.0 Twin Turbo lol I'll further add to that... I agree with the styling thing, some of the older stuff got updates and when you got to know it they looked not bad, Q50 is prob one of the better looking saloons in a decent spec, Q60 is fine with the odd quirk. They do, as a brand, need to sort some stuff out. Simple stuff such as being usually worst in each cars class for fuel economy and tax etc. These are things the mainstream buyer wants. Even just to get equal if not just better than the usual BMW, Audi, Merc etc The cars are starting...if ever so slightly to get the line up sorted as they did have a wiff of not knowing what they wanted to do with the brand/segment cars they produced. From the 5 years experience I had with the Glasgow dealership they are good and do go the extra mile and I would happily return. It would be good to see them grow a bit more, I don't think they should give up just yet as the article states. Its just hard to try and pull people away from the main items they are used to ...the Germans. From having loads of courtesy cars from various specs (minus the Q30...which I hated some of the ergonomics on) I wasn't sure at first but then started growing to like the cars, the Q70 for example in its big spec, has a good presence on the road, I think looks not bad simply as its not as dull as the German rivals. The Q60 got raved about in other countries for its styling so I sometimes wonder what stops people buying... other than wanting the mainstream and perhaps some of the running costs.
  15. Very nice! Had the coupe and convertible both from Infiniti as courtesy cars when they were still selling it. Effectively, a posher Z but still quick as hell and the added bonus of some paddles! Nice spec too with the blue and silver wheels! Oh and

    NISSAN GT-R50

Hmm, not so keen on this 'special' re-do for the anniversary. Flashback, if its sitting out static and you can get through crowds get some shots and diff angels to see it in the flesh as it were lol.
  17. Again as said, function more than form, but if I had the money I'd turn both down on the looks alone. I still maintain that for Mclaren...looks wise, the 12C coupe was just fine, rear lights a bit of a hit or miss but the profile etc ...classic supercar look. However, you gotta evolve somehow...
  18. Yes! The 720S... I was like what in the hell is that, especially in side profile it has a high waistline with no real curve in like most cars, still don't think its as good looking as the 650 or even the 12C but saw it in the flesh and despite its odd appearance at some angles its grown on me. I just need to rob a bank and then a another four to buy and run one
  19. Keep the wheels the orignal colour and keep em clean (dish and all), they set the car off brilliantly in the sun. Black just looks like a young chav
