  1. Go for the HR... looks slightly better than DE's, easier clutch to use (avoid the middle-ground rev-up ones) lol
  2. Yeah the MK3 interior is lovely place to be. (just watch out for the seat issue, the plastic comes away from the headrest and all the way down the side due to poor strength clips and Audi don't cover it in the warranty despite it being a world wide known issue. If you buy Audi used and its there I've spoken to Audi UK they should be doing it as a gesture apparently...so they must know!) (£1K to put right I think). A guy at my work bought a Mk2 TTS when I bought my 350Z and he still has his. He's replaced the magnetic suspension bits but besides that engine etc has been fine. I remember having a ...spirited drive with him in the rain going home and he just sat right up my backside lol Very nice cars btw, nice M3 looks tidy!
  3. I agree with you Dan in terms of the specialness (is that a word? lol) of a car, the TT or a TTS doesn't match the theatre of the Z, I would tell people simply getting in it to go to work was an occasion. Full of cheap plastics but the cascading dash and low down position made you feel like you were in something special (and then my Scorpion/Cobra set up kicked in!). I'm trying to find a sporty coupe that gives me the same sort of feeling even if I do need to think what else make its. The TTS doesn't sound that good and I really don't like the farting gear changes but I could live with it. The special comes from the low down, hemmed in feeling, it really is so different to a S3, Golf R etc so you will feel (pardon the expression as I know most will use the RS for it) like your in a mini supercar. Were all big kids at the end of the day you buy with your heart, I used to see the Z with its longish bonnet, rear wheel drive and big engine (for most peoples budgets anyway) as a really poor persons 599 lol The TTS is remarkably small compared to most stuff these days too, so fits easily in most spaces/garages. Already been on the titty forums for a while doing what I did on here long ago, finding everything I can about them.. Main concern is the seat trims that seem to fall apart....hmm. I did look at Mk2 RS but then when the MK3 TTS looks better and goes just as fast I'd rather have the new one. On a note to your other comment, I have never..driven an MX5, which I think I need to rectify at some point lol. I've sat in some and thought... this is tiny lol.
  4. I kinda liked the look of the RC coupes but they are woefully slow and underpowered and I can't afford and RCF...and tbh wouldn't buy one anyway as there not very good from what I hear lol. The original plan was to buy a 4.2 V8 XKR (2008 year or there abouts) and was geared up to do so, but ended up moving, got a garage and I def want to use it. Despite my love for GT coupes, practicality, better running costs and ultimately better performance have made me look at a TTS from around 2016-2017. I could buy an S3 or along those lines but I am not into hot hatches, there just not special enough inside. I don't mind looking like I'm on my way to my next hair appointment if the thing feels and looks special inside...which it does (and goes like hell). I've driven both a normal 2.0 TT quattro and the 306hp TTS, as bad as it is to say it they are very good. They don't have the character of the 350Z and I miss that and the sound so bad, but having tested a normal 227hp TT Quattro, I'm pretty sure it'd stay...if not beat a 350Z no problem...at least until very high speeds. TTS is silly fast, but also remarkably easy in doing so and when I spend most of my time going to work its the better option. This will be later on in the year though.
  5. Sold mine early 2018 but still hanging around lol Miss it to bits, but had to let it go. Soon to be moving to the German side (which I thought I wouldn't do).
  6. I don't think I'd feel safe in a Zed with that power, it ain't designed to do it ... lol Crazy fast though.... (and its def ZED )
  7. I've now heard there putting a lesser powered 2.0 Turbo engine in it now too... dunno why, I bet the price drop isn't that much and doesn't open it up to a whole lot of other buyers who couldn't just buy the first variant. I keep seeing a matt grey (possible launch edition?) one round at my work or passing it a lot. It does look good and def Japanese from the outside at least. I wouldn't say its underwhelming from comments I've seen all over the net in various reviews/forums. Lets remember, although a pretty car with its clean lines the original Supra and its curvyness wasn't exactly ....amazing to look at lol Not much too it, long bonnet, curves...a spoiler lol.

    A Sad Day!

It's a hard one! I remember doing it ....hated handing the keys to someone else lol Hopefully on to something better in the future!
  9. Just had a watch, an interesting video. At one point though he's like 'this is the Mustang'...and despite not being a fan of the actual Mustang much, saying that about this ...Amercian electrified Zafira...just arrggh. G Man don't do it!... haha
  10. Now thats a good/exciting looking thing! Yes it'll have the goppy mouth thing (but hey so did an XKR...) ...I like it!
  11. .... lol I really do hate this new genre of car... seems to have started with SUVs, then worked its way to the niche things like X6 etc... now they become electric....
  12. The whole things shocking lol... people waking up in the future saying look at my 'super van'... everything is gonna be electric and tall. Its like a nightmare... burn it with fire.... or maybe not as it will keep igniting... In all honestly though you can see it in mags, online car news...fulll of the SUV varient craze... its a bit depressing. God just give me a nice saloon or estate if anything..
  13. I can't tell you how uninterested the Mach-E makes me lol. It's like everything I never want from a car... lol Its high, its electric, its not nice looking.... the interior also is a bit too sparce.. like Teslas. Although I don't have a bunch of kids to stick in a vehicle, don't live in a city which taxes you everytime you wanna drive etc etc... so I'm sure people will buy it.... * slight sick in my mouth moment *

    Ferrari Roma....

Thanks for the videos Doogy! Watching them gives a better understanding of where it sits, rival wise. I'm just not sold on it though, .... that grill...looks like the back of something inside a fridge. I like the interior! (the rake and angle of the dash could be a bit less steep but I like the wrap around effect). Although not a rival, out of the recent reveals I'd much rather this... (even though I hate convertibles/roadsters/no roof things... lol) https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/mclaren-elva-revealed-804bhp-ultimate-series-roadster

    Ferrari Roma....

From some 3/4 angles looking at the back to the front, it the side profile and curve give me a reminder of the old 612 for some reason. Still an unusual looking thing, but I suppose we need to start doing random different things or everything would look the same...or just an evolution of the previous.
  16. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/new-ferrari-roma-200mph-front-engined-coupe So, I like a good opinion...or debate or argument. lol What do we think of this new ...thing. My thoughts on first glance: - I think I like the rear - The side profile I'm not so sure about, from the A-Pillar to the back the profile has a kind of Merc AMG GT look about it (which I hate, simply as I hate the look of the AMG) - The front I like but that grill? - The interior... yep love that...all swoopy and cockpit-y...
  17. Opinion - Horrid.. I hate mustangs, I hate this... Additional opinion - will likely hate the stang' based 4x4 due to come out too... The world is going mad...
  18. I watched that Tesla vs Porsche....frog thing.... fast, really fast but... its just, wheres the sound? (which in all honesty is a large part of the enjoyment and hit on your senses, also the lack of changing gears (even paddles would be fine) but I don't think either do as it says. I have a fear, all the people who have grown to know and love cars the way we see it, will soon 'die out' so to speak. I think we will even have people going ...oh remember how good paddles were (like folk do manuals just now). Not so long from now I think a new...a really new generation of young cars lover will grow up, but due to their surroundings it will be stuff like the Porsche 'electric frog' and Tesla 'my interior has no soul'... so they won't miss things like sound or chaning gear because they didn't grow up with it and this is what manufacturers will taylor to, to get the numbers in.... and we will be a distant memory lol A little while down the line but I think thats how it might go, the future... it happens, times move on... (it sucks...)
  19. Have some faith Dan! If they do bring the Zed back it needs to at least have 400 ponies to keep itself relevant but with all things modern it'll probably cost too much. The Z's were cheap(ish) sports cars with big power but now 276-330ish just isn't cutting it. (unless you have quattro and an auto lol)
  20. Keep seeing this one and also seen it parked up, has a single exhaust system - Uddingston. Not sure what exhaust but sounds different to say the least lol
  21. 35 odds is not bad lol With a mix of normal and spirited driving, for the 5 odd years I had mine, the figure it sat at was 22mpg.. lol
  22. Good Luck! Hopefully you get what you want for it. I have noticed the Z's are starting to take a dip and becoming quite low for the shove they put out. I miss mine every day the now with the current little (horrid) hatch I'm driving... wish I knew who had it! I just know the last private dealer down south that sold it. (from randomly finding it on AutoTrader a while back )
