  1. I DONT WANT A CLIFFORD ALARM, I WANT A KEY THAT DOESNT LOOK LIKE IT OPENS A KIA!!! Gosh feel better after that. Assuming no ones made any real progress with this?............
  2. Again the title says it all. Looking for a good tracking and wheel allignment place in south-east, pref Kent. Anyone make any recommendations? How much should this cost at a decent place with all the gear? Thanks, James
  3. Hey All, As the title indicates. Looking to get a plenum spacer fitted - got quoted £285 from the lovely chaps at Abbey but being a poor person I'm looking for a way to save some dosh so I can afford a remap to. Anyone know where is the best and cheapest place to get a decent plenum spacer? New or 2nd hand. Also. I'm a complete muppet when it comes to DIY but anyone know how easy they are to install? Mates hnandy with things like this and wanted to know if its poss / easy to do yourself? Cheers chaps! J
  4. I've got creaky rear susp and its caused by worn drop links. Parts only cost £80 for new and easy to fit so do yourself of a local mechanic will charge you around £60. Check elec windows work, make sure CD players works while driving, listen to make sure stereo doesnt cut out on left side speakers, clicky axle and think thats it. Just be careful to triple check the paperwork. £23k is very very low mileage for the year!
  5. Found this thread that supports what I mentioned. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/136776-new-t ... miles.html Cos they are special run flats.
  6. Just consider the running costs. May be bull @*!# but I heard that they are ludicrous with new tyres costing mega money and only lasting 7k miles. Mate looked into buying one until he realised it would be cheaper to runa Ferarri. Be warned!
  7. Seems to be the general consenus recently that spacers actually make the handling worse. Almost bought some recently but now glad I didn't................
  8. " suitably large 6.75-litre V12 engine sends power to its massive chrome alloy wheels. Producing around 360bhp and more than 550lb/ft of pulling power" Er, does anyone else think these numbers don't add up? Maybe it's early in the morning and I've missed hte point of this post but it all looks very suspicious. Whoever made this car should be tortured horribly!
  9. Eek!!! Even going with EBC (a budget choice) its going to be £500. Having said that the price of £14.5k seems fairly good......................
  10. Jag XFR, RS4, M5. All the usual suspects really.................
  11. People probably think you're a total mentalist!
  12. Any way you slice it I'm not gonna be able to afford one of these for some time.
  13. To be honest I'd skip the fixes and replace the HU. Will cost you at least £400 but defo worth it!
  14. a) It's a sports car not a rally breed like the Subaru so the ride's always gonna be a bit jarring Are you really comparing a RWD car with 4WD?! The Zeds a joy to drive but take your time to get used to it. Soon as I read your post had mental picture of you growling, throwing the Zed into a corner with the gas down and spining of the road. Treat her gentle, especially in anything other than dry roads. Trust me, you'll live longer!
  15. LOL - You just answered all your own questions fella! Just do your homework, be meticulous when looking at history etc and you'll be fine. Think there's a sticky post for prospectiove buyers on the forum. Happy hunting!
  16. I hope your driving is better than your photography DBlock!
  17. I can come up on Saturday if you need me to. You'll need to organise everything (the valeting, insurance for me to drive etc) but happy to help. PM me to let me know.
  18. I was thinking of somehting like a retractable claw / bracket fixed to the back wall of the cubby. Would enable you to fix it then remove it and shut the cubby door. Would look kick ass and be really easy to navgate music link to my HU. The gauntlet has been thrown down!
  19. As the title indicates, I'm intersted to know if any of the more handy and experimental among us have used an ipad in an intall? Just got mine getting delivered on Wednesday and think it would look cool on some kind of retractable mount coming from the cubby. Stories, thoughts and ideas wanted. I've got a simple audio into my double din that comes out from the cubby so would be awesome.
  20. Guys since you're quoting legality here, thought I would mention that jailbreaking is now legal after a court challenge from Apple was overturned. Here's the article (one of many) http://ipodtouchnews.co.uk/jailbreaking ... a-amended/ I think its a useful link so if it would please the moderators I think it should be re-posted, especially since I've cleared up the legal concerns.
  21. Nice but I'll have a fully loaded Murcielago for that money.
  22. As the other guys said. The cable is either still unconnected or loose.
  23. Sorry if you mistook my joshing to be rude, you'll need to get used to the banter on here though............ The Clarion HU is a piece of shite btw , surely you can tell just from the pictures?! Remember buy cheap, buy twice!
