  1. I understand this is one of the many occuring 'little' problems with with Zed, but my passenger side window doesn't work. It will occasionally move and I can hear the servo clicking but nada. Occasionally it will work if I slam the door or when I first start the car I'll get a bit of life out of her. I havn't found anything by using search and was hoping somone could give me insight as to whats causing this and what part may need to be replaced. Gonna have to take her into the shop to get the bodywork damage fixed after some cocklord hit her so figure I may as well get this fixed at the same time. Cheers all!
  2. Woman you're mental! Someone came into my office and said that we would probably end up having a 2 hr conversation about what extra's they've got and end up in a shopping list for me.
  3. I think there's actually some truth in this. I honestly don't know whats up with footballers. Maybe I'm being unfair but they all sound like a punch of pathological arseh*&es, compelled to screw everything in sight. Relative of spouse, friends missus? No problem. If that's what money does to you then I'll pass thanks..........
  4. Just got back from work and walking up my road when I see some **** has hit my car. Totally ****ed the drivers side panel over the rear wheel!! I feel like crying! Anyone know good panel people, repair shops, or somewhere to get a new (or old scrap) panel painted. WHatever, can't type any more - too angry. - In south east, near Tonbridge. No note, nothing. Spineless ******* just hit it and must have driven off!
  5. I should have been more specific - I get the noise even when I'm not applying the brakes.
  6. Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. Replaced my discs and pads all round with EBC Turbogroove and Yellowstuff pads. I get a funny grinding noise that varies as the wheels rotate. THought it might have been the bearings so took it in to Abbey for them to have a look (feeling like a clueless muppet). Apparantly its nothing to worry about and Simon (awesome helpful chap) said its just the pads picking up on the slots in the discs. I've seen a few posts crop up about the compatibility of yellowstuff and them only being designed for flat discs. Does anyone else get this noise with their brakes? Specifically the same brakes that I have? It's bloody annoying as noises go and I'd like to understand it more / know if anyone else in the same boat as me. Cheers, James P.S On a totally separate note - big thx to everyone at Abbey. They really do live up to their reps for being so helpful. I'll defo be returning to them for any work that needs to be done.
  7. I've got this as well. I knew it wasm't the clicky axle problem but I'd be interested in the anser here too!
  8. Sick of the BOSE and thinking of planting this in there. http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product ... -24276.htm My car has the factory kit with bluetooth adaptor and steering wheel controls. Will this unit plug straight in to the existing BOSE amp? Will I be able to use the steering wheel controls with it? Will the handsfree phone still work? Sorry for nab questions but I need to know before I make half the gear in there useless and cost myself over £300.
  9. Unlikely the bearing if it's only when accelerating. Can't suggest anything more than that.....
  10. Why you need them? I'm not tryiong to be difficult but if you're having problems with sound from the passenger side set then its probably the fault (common) with the head unit and not the speakers that are the problem.......................
  11. I'd say it's highly unlikely but as they say, you don't ask you don't get........
  12. Disagree actually - was just thinking how nice the wheels looked on the car but not sure they would suit many others.
  13. I wouln't swap the zed for it but I do like the RX8. Just somthing unusual and interesting about it. Or is it just me?
  14. Mmmmmmmm Tech porn! Is it necessary? no!, Fun? Hell yes!
  15. I remember when I had just vought the Zed in Dec I went for a spin and stopped at a petrol station when an american woman stopped me and said "that is the most gorgeous car!" I blushed and skipped into the petrol station on cloud nine, happy and convinced it was a great purchase. It's funny because I've been back to that petrol station twice more in the last 6 months and both times have had somone comment. A special happy place!
  16. Would I be correct in assuming you recently received a speeding ticket and are sore about it? I do agree with the point though. I think 80mph would be perfectly safe, with a fine above 90-95. At the end of the day if somone can't drive for @*!# they are gonna cause an accident at any speed they drive at.
  17. This is a big favour to ask but it would be great if somone could help. I want an iPad badly but flat out refuse to pay UK prices. If anyone's heading to the US and wouln't mid grabbing me one it would be awesome. Can sort our secure payment via PayPal. PM if you might be able to help.
  18. Looking for a double din HU to replace my faltering BOSE (Clarion) and don't have the readies to buy a sparkly new one. Must have DVD Player, touch screen, iphone connectability and work with the existing Bose speaker set up. Sat nav would be nice but not essential. PM me if you've got somehting that might fit the bill. Cheers fellas (and fellettes). J
  19. Won't get dinged any more than any other car mate. Just avoid parking next to cars that are wrecked that the owners don't give a @*!# about. P.S Buy an Azure one mate, only gays and gangsters buy black cars! (kidding guys )
  20. It's low mileage so I'd check it's all genuine. Apart from that the normal Nissan faults like clicky axle, shite Bose, feathering on the Tyre's (uneven wear). People always tell me to use the search now now i'll tell you..................
  21. Hi Guys, I know how an engine works but I have to admit I'm totally clueless about what engine oil is best for the Zed. Any advice? Part or full synth? What type? Any specific brands and types you recommend? Thanks,
  22. Hey all, Despite a heroic attempt by Lee to get the Bose working the thing still aint as it should be, so as soon as I've got the money I'm going for a new head unit. I'd prefer to avoid ripping amps and speakers out so anything that can just plug-n-play into that double din would be groovey and still have all the speakers working. Any advice on good head units that will do this on a budget (£400 max ideally, maybe bit more if its amazing) All ideas welcome.
  23. Hey all, As the title indicates I'm looking for a good mechanic that I can trust to work on my Zed for reasonable money, for services and repairs not crazy mods (yet). I just can't bare the idea of having to take it into the stealers to have them do a botch job. I live in Tonbridge so anywhere even remotely close would be cool. Cheers peeps!
  24. Hi Guys, Couln't make it to Wales so I thought I'd drown my sorrows by tenderly waxing the Zed. Used to use Zymol but got sick of the thick white chalky residue. R35 LEE recommended Maguires and I have to say its an absolute pleasure to work with! Goes on well, lovely wet look, buffs easy and no residue. I'd recommend it to everyone! P.S Cheers for the tip Lee!
