"I popped into Tesco on the way home for a few bits and the amount of guys running around grabbing Roses and Chocolates" That was me!

In fact.. didnt the 313 only come out in 2008? Sure some brainier person is gonna come and correct me but I don't think its the 313 from the information at hand. Not the end of the world either way. Just make sure you know what you're buying and paying for!

Has it got the bonnet bulge? I don't think it has but the light in the photo makes it hard for me to say for sure. If not.... no bulge = not 313.

CS are very quick. I've had (and so have a few others) a few problems with EBC rotors though. When you have them fitted make sure that they are done properly and the runout is measured and right. Basically me and a couple others here have had warped EBC's (DTV at least) and been told that it was caused form being put on poorly not measuring runout. Not heard anyone have problems with other rotors so I'm not entirely convinced the fault was with the install in my case. Just don't give them any ammo should you have the same problem. The problem I / we've had can be noted by some noise / a ticking sound even when the brakes arnt applied. Most easy to notice with the window open on country roads (sound bounces back of the trees and easier to hear) I'm babbling now but good luck with them!

One time (dent) is understandable and could be a mistake and although they should have said something it wouldnt be the end of the world. If I had several dings with paint marks showing which car it came from it def go and say something, particularly if I was SURE who it was. Sorry if they've had a hard time lately but doesnt give anyone the right to treat other peoples stuff like shhit. makes my blood boil!

Alot of Zeds (mine included) have suffered from this. In my case I think it was caused by brake runout although alot of people that have EBC rotors (again me) have noted this. If you bought it from a dealership I would take it back to them sharpish and have them measure the DTV (disc thickness variation). May be that you need them skimmed or replaced so better to talk with the person you bought from quickly before they can claim that it's normal, post purchase wear and tear. If it was a private sale I fear you may end up having to replace the discs and pads out of your own pocket.

Off to Saas-Fee in 3 weeks. Cant wait! -
Okey - so after recently treating myself to a top notch gaming PC rig I considered i should buy a couple of games that allow it to stretch its legs. Well yesterday I was in London, caught between meetings with some time to kill. I wondered past the trocadero and saw they have a cool place where you can play games on a PC, XBOX or PS3 for £4 an hour. Feeling workshy I decided to give Dead Space 2 on PC a whirl. Why anyone would buy this game is beyond me. It's utterly terrifying! Now hands up it's a marvel of graphics and gameplay but I can't imagine wanting to spend £30 to be @*!# shared, for fun, for hours?! Honestly not been that scared since watching Alien at the age of 10 and Howard the Duck (yes I said it) when I was 6. So my review is, if you like being scared buy it. If you're a normal undisturbed person like me don't. Personally I'll be sticking to Warcarft, Starcraft and GTA4.

I like it! Totally original

Happy to stay one card behind did consider the GTX570 but happy with a 480 (i am not a massive gamer anyhow) but F1 2010 looks superb now. price gone back up a bit now. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... =GX-222-AS I am toying with the idea of getting one of the new Sandybridge cpus and motherboards but not sure its worth it Read an article in a computer magazine about how many core you need. They did a thorough test of all the most juice hungry games out there and only one of them (cant remember which) could use more than 4 cores. Even then it didnt need it. On that logic an OC i5 with 4 cores should be more that enough for 99% of uses. I'd save your money for another year yet.

I consider myslef a bit of an ATI fan but always do my research have to say for this new gen of cards I think NVidia has pulled off a real coup. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphi ... -review/11 This review for the 560 is the most convicing victory for a manufacturer in 2 seasons of cards and looks (sorry everyone that just bought one) to outperform even the 480 and with none of the bad points (power, noise, heat etc - the list goes on). Think I'll be putting an order in this afternoon!
-
Ignore me - thought I'd read that you left it days.

Nice one m8! Would my ANTEC TRU-BLU 650watt power supply be able to power that single card? my main processor is the QUADCORE 6600 overclocked You may be starting to push it a little. Thats the prob with the GTX 480 (which I assume is the card you're looking at?). It idles at 95w (which is fine) but under load pulls over 300w. You should be OK but you're reaching the limit of the PSU I would say.

Likely to be more pain that it's worth to fix I would have thought. I would leave it in case it becomes unroadworthy, loses cotrol and crashes into a tree forcing to you claim on the insurance.

FYI for anyone thats interested. I've just bought a new desktop and upgrading my graphics card. As such my old one is for sale. It's a Saphirre ATI 5770 and only 2 months old. Comes complete with box and all the little bits. http://www.trustedreviews.com/graphics/ ... HD-5770/p1 Looking for £75 + postage from a member. PM me if you're interested!

Just had a look at that calc. Got bored after 12 seconds! Unless you're running a server, massive bespoke gaming rig or other such hardware it's almost always safe to just take a good brand 750w. That would even run an OC i7 and dual GPU (mid to high end) without too much stress.
-
+1 - I'd document all the occasions of bullying etc but its really likely to be more stress and pain for you than it's worth. Give him the "yes sir, no sir" to keep your life as easy as possible but make your moves to get out now. Bad bosses get bad staff and their companies never go anywhere. Plus if hes such a douche it's likely his friends and wife see that too. With any luck he'll die mateless while his Mrs is riding the **** of the postman.
-
+1 Would need at least a 600 watt on a standardish pc if going for a GTX480. Got a 750 watt in mine. Yeah - I've got a Corsair 650W and I'd worry about that being up to it with a GTX480. Bench tests show it sucks a fricken bonkers 380W under load and runs at 95C! I'd be worried about it melting everything else in my case.
-
Crysis is a famous power hungry SOB so one of these card would see a massive increase in performance. Only thing I'd be concerned about would be your PSU. What are you running to power your system?
-
Burn it with fire!
-
Yeah just checked it and at first glance it looks great but the ATI 6950 is hot off the press, similar performance, eats less power, cooler and quieter and only £30 more.
-
That is an amazing deal. Tempted to go for it but those NVidia cards run volcanically hot and are loud. Been thinking about the ATI 6950 but that price is tasty.
-
Sounds bad and not to doubt your research but I think it's a little more likely the shares were 300p not £300. I don't know of many (any in fact) listed companies whose shares trade at £300 each. Probably not as bad as you think!
