Makes nice noise but actually loses you about 5bhp. Some love it but strikes me as a little pointless. I'd get a plenum spacer and save up for a remap!

Kwick fit did this to me. Bought four Pirelli tyres for my focus ages back and two of them came on the wrong way round. I actually didnt notice but took the car straight from them to have it's MOT, which for that reason it obviously failed. Took it back to rant at them and the manager said he would give me a £100 voucher for work there, to which I replied in front of a room full of waiting customers "you monkeys can't even put on a set of tyres the right way round, what makes you think I would let you touch my car again?!?!" Promtly got 50% of my money back and havnt been back to the idiots since. While its in my head as well. Ages back my mum took her car to another branch, was told her discs had gone and needed to be replaced. Now mum, like many women, doesnt know one end of a car from another, probably doesnt even know what the discs do, but thought she remembered them being replaced not long back. Asked the center to save the old part and popped round another mechanic on the way back home. The mechanic looked at the old discs and said, "well as soon as the new ones they've put on wear pff you can put these syraight back on, they're fine!". Why only the boys from Abbey will be touching my car!

I've always named my cars. I call my current Nina (the Nissan) and my first car with a 205 called Pugsley. Anyone else do this and if so what do you call it?

Ian your avatar is brilliant!

Happened to me too. Lots and lots of 'almost most it' sotries flying around. Safe driving people! Lets all take it easy with the ladies until the dry roads come allowing for some slightly more spirited driving. P.S Do women Zed owners refer / think of their Zed's as women too, or as men?.....

Midnight blue sucks! Azure rules!

Me too, I love that. Mac owners are so convinced their product is superior. Quite frankly until Windows 7 (which works) I thought Linux was the way forward. Mac's are over priced fashion accessories, they hold no real benefit over a decent PC any more. The only Mac I would consider is a Macbook, simply because they are well made machines in comparison to most Laptops. My Toshiba Satelite Pro is a total piece of @*!#, just like the Samsung I had before it. Should have got an Alienware I build my own PC's and I am very happy with the results. My current i7 PC runs from solid state memory, has 6gb of the fastest ram and an awesome Nvidia GTX 470. Its a little beast and much cheaper than the comparitive Mac. Agreed that Apple's are fashion accesories. I've got an iPad, iPhone, iTV and a whole host of other things for that exact (is somewhat geeky) reason but truth be told the PC is still the only way to go for serious home computing. P.S Alienware Laptops are a disgrace. Good components but very poor build quality. I'd still go to Overclockers for one from MSI or ASUS.

You will honestly not get them offering better than Brembo (which is hard to begin with). NMy advice is same as ZMANALEX and only accept OEM Brembo if it needs changing. I promise they will try and palm some shite aftermarket off on you. Don't be a fool and let them!

Gutted for you. Can't imagine what it feels like. It's always horrible to read in the news but seeing your personal tribute almost bought me to tears. Really drives it home these are the best people, with lives, wives, children and best mates, torn apart by the sacrifice they have made for us all. A terrible price to pay but such an honor for you to have known him. Blue skies..............

I use Meguirs tech wax and think it's awesome. Very easy to apply, buff and lasts very well. Sure the most expensive ones like Dodo Supernatural are beaters if you've got masses of money, a pro polishing machine, tons of time and a car that gets entered intop shows but for me Meguirs is plenty enough. Did a pro wax once and could tell the difference (though I'm sure the pro's could). The biggest difference come from the prep and other work like claying before and sealing after (Red Mist ). I'd spend my time there if I was you. P.S I really want the sun to come and and some warmth so I can give her the first detailing of the year.

As the title indicates. I'm sick of the rain, spray and greasy roads. I just want to go for a blast with the stereo up, dry roads and sunshine. It's really starting to get me down! Whats more I've not managed to give her anything more than quick jetwash in 6 months. Want to get my detailing kit out but there's just no point with the the mud and crap flying around at the moment. The work would be undone in 5 mins and thats assuming it didnt rain during. Rant over..... ..... for now

Agreed there's definately a hinto of Peugeot coupe in there! Still I quite like it!

I'd say £91/2-10k would be a good starting price. Just my opinion though

Quoting what processor a computer have doesnt give any indication of what the machine is like overall. A point manufacturer's like Dell exploit to the expense of layman's. They just stick i7 and a huge price tag on it and let people think its mustard. What about the motherboard, the speed of the ram, cache, the graphics card etc. A chain is only as strong as the weakest link! Doesnt matter if you've got a liquid nitrogen cooled, superconductor processor if it's linked to piece of @*!# components!
-
Big problem with PC's is they come with alot of 'bloatware' and collect apps that like to run in the background with a quick launch startbar icon. You need to learn how to clear all that @*!# off and it will go back to being as quick as it was out the box the day you first bought it.

I like that colour. So the wheels arn't as good as the Rays and I would defo want the throttle blip thingy but still a damn nice set of wheels!
-
It really really does depend on what you want it for. I'm into gaming and I know my 'onions' when it comes to working the power out of a PC so its a no brainer for me. If you just want to browse, use iTunes and random multimedia then an Apple is idiot proof.

I've got the Scorpion and it sounds . It's not intrusively loud when pottering about town so you won't look like a burke but has a great throaty noise when you push the loud pedal!

Thanks for all the help guys. As usual the forum community is fantastic! Just to update...... for now I've decided to do nothing. I'm hung over to death so am going to curl up on the sofa and cry!

I've been a t$£t and left the internal light on in my Zed and flattened the battery. Need to go our shortly so.............. Where's the best place to buy jump leads from? More importantly, I've never done it before so have no idea how to jump start a car. How do I do it (ive got a UKGT 53 plate)? Things I need to avoid doing to electrocute myself? All input welcome.

Two serious contenders there!

I've got EBC rotors and yellow stuff pads and havn't really like them (had problems with the discs). I'd be inclined to go DBA discs and Ferrodo pads next time.

Pizza Express is the worst in town near me. Invariably two (or more) women chatting with a couple of glasses of wine while their children run around screaming and generally tearing the place up. Feel like screaming "JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN TUNE THEM OUT DOESNT MEAN ANY OTHER HUMAN WITH EARS CAN!"
