  1. Hmm, not sure I like that idea. The flexis are the weak point and do eventually fail, maybe thats why they removed them? But on my Invidia G200 I have had to replace them both in the last couple of years, although they were 6-7 years old and take a battering due to being FI. Not a big problem just cut out the old ones and weld in a couple of new ones, you can get from any motor factor for about £20. BUT they must have failed because they were doing their job and 'flexing'. If they had not been there then the stress of the engine movement would be felt else where - probably the Manifold And i wouldn't want that to crack.
  2. Looking at your picture you also need to put a bit of PTFE on the npt threads of the boost line connector on the top of the regulator or you'll probably get a boost leak - which can lead to your fuel pressure not increasing when it should be and running lean. Regarding your left over washers, they could be spares but you should have some type of washer on each of the blue fittings that screw into the regulator body, or they will leak.
  3. The gauge threads you struggling with are NPT (tapered thread) they are not meant to be screwed in all the way or something will break. Put a bit of PTFE tape on the thread and wind it in until tight. Should be between 3.5 and 6 threads engaged. You can adjust the amount of PTFE tape on the thread to allow it to go in further or not, this should allow you to get the gauge pointing in the direction you want.
  4. I've had japspeed decats fitted for about 2 years now. No quality issues at all and they get a proper pounding on my car being FI. Coupled with the Invidia G200 true dual exhaust with mid-pipe silencers there is no rasp, no cabin drone and a lovely deep roar when your foot is near the floor but nice and quite when cruising.
  5. Looks like someone had an aftermarket one fitted at some point. If you want oem I'm sure there is one in the for sale section somewhere. It's in amongst lots of other items though so not in the title of the thread.
  6. Stillen sounds awesome but is a little down on power compared to the others. You would probably get between 350 and 380fwhp if you go stage 3 with supporting mods. The others give an easy 400 for a bit less money. Oh and they are far from quiet! If you are serious about the Stillen you could pm Mr F, he has one fitted and tuned to circa 380hp.
  7. I have always used Tesco 99. I will use Shell V-power if I happen to pass one and need a top up. I try to stick to Tesco 99, I've used it for about 10 years in my last 3 cars. Also my car was tuned with it.
  8. Looks like it'll be a good series. I love it but Mike B is such s d*ck.
  9. Yeah loads of people wrap/paint the door handles. Have a look around, there is probably quite a few posts on it.
  10. If you have fitted a NEW battery then the IPDM would be my first port of call as Graham suggests. However, if you only charged your battery back up after being flat for a few weeks, I would check that first as a poor battery does funny things to the Zed. In the workshop manual there is a function test for the IPDM. It is very handy when fault finding, it does a snazzy test of all the items it controls. I will try to find it for you......
  11. Fine for women to do but never got it myself Yep. Car naming is for girls, end of.
  12. Ah.....so that's how you get massive post counts....... I'm off to do the same.
  13. You could spend the money on some quality HFC or Decats and a good quality cat back exhaust? There are some nice stockish, nice sounding exhausts available that will give some gains (after a re-map) What are your other performance mods? Unless you've already done all the other NA mods, I would leave the manifolds.
  14. As Dan has said above, Abbey have always offered a drive in/ out service and I'm sure still will. This seems a great deal for the DIYer with out the headache of sourcing parts from abroad and waiting weeks for stuff to turn up. It has all the parts required for a safe, reliable, fast road set up with the added bonus of Dyno time with the guys that tuned the fastest 350z in Europe......not bad if you ask me.
  15. I use the ebay one as in the link above. Works very well, plenty big enough and looks fine.
  16. If you had searched or looked at the first few sticky posts in the section you posted in....you would have seen: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/15611-what-you-need-to-upgrade-your-350z-audio-system/ and http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/55445-wiring-in-a-new-hu-this-guide-may-help/ Have a read, if your still unsure then someone will probably be along to help.
  17. They look really nice. I've been planning on a trip to Wheel Genie for a while now, but hadn't got round to it yet. I was also struggling to decide on a finish, whether or not to have the rim polished and lacquered or painted. I do like the finish on yours quite a lot so that's food for thought.
