  1. I must admit I always think its bollox saying an exhaust is 'true dual' when it got an X or H pipe in it. That means its not. Fair play for turning it into a proper one. I have the Invidia G200, as RT says above, is a true dual from the factory. I love it. Not sure whether being FI means the X or H pipe has less of an impact on it but I don't intend on changing it. If its called a true dual it should be a true dual. Not a true dual ( with a little join in the middle)
  2. Black wheels just don't do it for me as you loose all the detail unless up close. Gm spokes would be better than black for sure, but I have to agree with RT shadow chrome would look really cool Have a look at his wheel thread for an idea of the colour. I used to have shadow chrome on my supra and thought it looked excellent. I think when I refurb mine it's gonna be shadow chrome spokes and polished dish and rim.
  3. I calculate mine using simple fuel used (at the pump)% how many miles done since last fill. The on-board computer wasn't that accurate in the first place. But with the larger injectors its no where near!!
  4. I get about 21 mpg on average. That's mainly A - roads and a bit of town driving. I did get 24 mpg driving to from Norfolk to Newquay in the rain, but as Keyser says easily single figures on track. But SO worth it!! :teeth:
  5. Welcome to the club. As above, sounds interesting give us some pics!
  6. Mmm unfortunately it does sound like your cooling system is getting pressurised by your engine..... This is not a good thing. Worth trying a new rad cap just in case though, maybe the spring pressure has just weakened over time. If your lucky.
  7. Yeah, can disconnect the battery for a while ( I would leave it a good 10 mins or more) or if you don't want to lose your radio presets you can do the 'pedal dance' Its in the guide section as either ECU reset or Pedal dance can't remember which.
  8. I believe she is near the 'the wall' somewhere. Not the best start to ownership.
  9. Saying that is the Temp gauge inside the car showing its hot? ie is the gauge over half way?
  10. Ah OK, so it is over heating. My first suspect would be the two electric radiator fans as they are a known problem. They often do not turn on when old and get a bit crappy inside. They need to check if they are switching on first.
  11. Cant believe a garage is saying ' no idea where its coming from' I'd be tempted to take it somewhere else. Is the water coming from the coolant system? Is that where they are topping it up from? It could also be the windscreen or headlight washer reservoir which are located behind the front bumper in either corner. Because of your veilside kit the head light washers are probably disconnected but could be leaking.
  12. Try an ECU reset and see if that helps. There has been evidence that some Zeds with induction/exhausts mods run a little lean at WOT, something not usually spotted until it gets on a dyno.
  13. Rays are a very popular type of wheel that can be fitted to the 350z. (and other manufactures) 'Rims' is probably the word you were looking for...but unless your something to do with the Fast and Furious franchise, are american and have no concept of English, I would stick with wheels!
  14. What year is your zed? What engine does it have? What mods does it already have? Is it a daily driver? Will you be doing the work yourself? Do you like the hit of a turbo or the linear delivery of a supercharger? And most important what is your budget? Have a look in the Forced induction section and some of the longer build threads for starters.
  15. I thought it was a trick question! Lol
  16. As Chris says, if the vacuum hose is a good fit it shouldn't need clamps as your only gonna see circa 10psi. I use small cable ties just for piece of mind. I've just got 'T' pieces fitted between the plenum, FPR, BPV and boost gauge. Had no issue with the Uprev as it is done using the MAF and not a MAP sensor.
  17. Yep....looks sh8t from that angle to.
  18. Yep...........and it looks sh*t on that ginger one to As others have said, very nice, just doesn't work on a ginger.
  19. The pressure adjuster is not a tapered thread, so don't put any tape on that! It should be in two places - the gauge thread and the small npt thread where the boost/vacuum tube is, the silver tube just below the adjuster.
  20. I'm running DW 600cc. Fine for my power levels. (442fwhp) Previously I was on stock injectors running 380fwhp without issue but they would have been flat-out at WOT. Just a word of caution - If it were me, I would get all your 'new' ebay injectors flow tested before fitment. I can't see the tolerances being that great for that money. Saving a couple hundred quid on the injectors sounds good but if you get one fail or one cylinder running lean, you'll be spending thoudands before you even know it . And...Welcome to the club.
