  1. This thread is getting funny. I think you need to stop taking peoples exact words as literal, they are just opinions after all. It sounds like someone has scared you with tales of this RWD car killing you in winter. The Zed wont kill you as soon as it gets cold, wet or snowy with any tyre on it if you DRIVE TO THE CONDITIONS. However, as a rule, you want to get the best tyres you can afford. First things you need to decide is your budget and whether you want two complete sets of tyres. (one for summer and one for winter) Obviously this would mean either having two sets of wheels or changing all your tyres twice a year. None of the tyres listed will be good in the snow as they are not winter tyres, but how often will you drive in snow? As said above - If you can afford it, go for MPSS, RE050A or Goodyear Eagle F1 They are all great tyres that will be 'fine' in winter conditions, Good in the wet and brilliant in summer.
  2. to the club. Tell us a bit about yourself and your Zed, mods etc... as others have said, show us some pics. I'm just down the road from you in Downham Market so will probably see you around.
  3. Merry christmas all ! Santa didn't make it to the rig last night, so no pressies to open this morning. :-( However, we will be having a proper Xmas dinner later :-) Hope everyone enjoys their day!

  5. Have you tried livingstone Warner on the forum yet? I went from Adrian flux to them, they were cheaper and customer service is excellent.
  6. I have a City & Guilds in cake making I have never declared that before Maybe you should Dave. Or maybe not..................They may think your more likely to be doing donuts.
  7. Pretty sure when getting a quote I've never been asked what qualifications I have ..........or how many different countries I've driven in....... Does 2x masters degrees and some stamps in your passport make tou a better driver or a lower risk? The only thing you didn't state, will be the only things that matter..ie your postcode and personal details. I would also recommend ringing the traders on here. I would highly recommend Livingston Warner I have been with them for 2 years now. I have also used Sky on a previous car and could not fault them. 800 sounds quite high for a stock zed(depending on your postcode)
  8. You can buy little cans of lock de-icer. I've used them and they work quite well. As advised above - a small amount of vasaline or silicone grease around the door rubbers works quite well if its just that freezing.
  9. You can't get oil temp on the obd2 on the Zed. I'm pretty sure there is not an oil temp sensor on the car. The ecu only uses water temp I think. I've fitted an oil Temp sensor and gauge for that reason.
  10. The cool, dense, moist air of late will make a fair difference to your mpg as more air needs more fuel, you've probably noticed it feels a bit quicker too. That, coupled with the fact that you've got a shiny new exhaust that you like the sound of....leading to you putting your foot down a bit more and revving it a bit higher will probably be the cause.
  11. That kit looks fine, but I would defiantly advise using the Thermostatic sandwich plate if most of your driving is on the road, as your oil may struggle to get to temperature in winter, and having cold oil often is worse than the occasional hot oil. It is quite pricey as well. Have a read here for more info of when I was deciding what to http://www.350z-uk.c...those-with-one/ The kit I used in the end from driftworks only requires some threaded bar and a few nuts, then you just drill the bottom of your crash bar and hang it there. It also has a 92deg thermostat which means your oil always gets up to temp nice and quick. And its cheaper than all the others. Had mine on since early in the year and it has been spot on. Or you could purchase one from one of our traders on here.
  12. Very Its nice the two of you can share that sort of thing. Looking at that took me back to when I was teenager. I did a few weeks 'outward bound' at various places including Ullswater and we trekked up there. It was mighty impressive! However, I wasn't very well at the time, and I had to take a dump in the snow at the summit. It was nice to give something back.
  13. Sorry just seen this. PM on the way.
  14. Cheers DoogyRev, and thanks to anyone that voted!
  15. Loved my Supra! Regarding it's age, I think the front looks a bit dated now, but from every other angle it's fared very well and I think the interior is still one of my favorites.

  17. Looks fun. I'm suprised the palace let Harry have a go.
  18. Yawn. really? Do you not think for 400 quid rays would have been the better choice aesthetically and mechanically? Oh absolutely, especially mechanically. But the aesthetics is just a matter opinion and if he likes these then good for him for being different. However, as you have said, the tyre sizes might cause some problems though.
  19. As above, two cars from opposite ends of the spectrum. What has drawn you to these two? And why them over the zed?
