I haven't seen a 300zx since a Cars and Coffee meet a couple years back. Gorgeous machines in my eyes.

Got this finally fitted today by my local Scorpion dealer Topgear Motorsport in Stockport. Great friendly guys. 45 mins and the job was done. At first I was a little worried the tailpipes weren't as mirror finished as my old OEM one, but got home.....a little metal polish and it was OEM shiny. The tailpipes are about 1cm wider than OEM making it a little easier to clean inside the pipes. Sit about 1/2cm closer to the bumper but still leaving clearance to get a cleaning/polishing cloth over the top between bumper and pipe. Follow the same profile as OEM when viewed from the side and above. All in all perfect firmer and finish from Scorpion with a lifetime warranty to boot. No drone when cruising home at 40, 50, 60 or 70. In fact barely noticeable when just steady cruising making it easy to enjoy some tunes. Tickle the throttle a bit to accelerate and there's a bit more rumble than stock which is nice. However mine was leaking at the backbox flange for months so I may have a distorted memory of stock. Why it took Scorpion so long to offer rolled tips I'll never know as not everyone is a fan of the slash cut ones originally offered. Some pics at last.....

Got the week off this week. Yesterday gave the zed a wash dear, fallout remover and going over with Tax Systems clay cloth. Love the cloth. Perfect size to use folded in half with the weight of the cloth enough to not need any downward pressure. Parked the zed in the garage. Later that night once kids were in bed I used Autofinesse Tripple to cleanse the paint followed by a coat of Turtlewax Hydrophobic Sealant wax. Finished at 1am last night. This morning I gave another coat of Turtlewax Hydrophobic Sealant wax. So slick now even the applicator sponge won't sit on the bonnet and just slides off. Then took the wheels off today for a full strip down. Followed by a coat of Gtechniq C5. They're now curing in the garage Will put some C2V3 on tomorrow before putting them back on the zed. So glad I kept the original 18s as a spare set. Local Scorpion dealer said my exhaust is here and y pipe arrives tomorrow. So I'm booked in on Friday for fitting.

I often give her a cheeky little caress with a fingertip gently to feel the slickness. My brother isn't into cars and thinks I'm bonkers wanting a slick finish to the paint. "Why the hell would you want to caress the car to see if it's slick?" When he put it like that I had to admit YES..... I'M BONKERS

That's an impressive shine. I'd just ensure that the buyer and I both had a mask. Both gel hands before getting in the car. Job done. If you wanted to be extra cautious tell them to cancel if they had a fever or a cough. You could even ask if they minded you using a contact free thermometer on them upon arrival. Deffo don't be shoving a regular thermometer up their rear to test for a fever
