  1. These Midlands Meets are looking like they're growing from strength to strength. Congratulations on organising what looks like what was another epic meet
  2. Bought some Sony MDR XB-700 over 10 years ago. Lovely huge earpads. But with age the leatherette coating was disintergrating. It'd leave what can only be described as "black dandruff" in and around my ears and face after use. I've got some aftermarket replacements on order from China but have read that the cushions are lacking about 1cm in depth and softness. Just taken duct tape to the surfaces on and around the ears in the same way as you'd use a lint roller. It's take all the peeling loose black garbage off the surface leaving bare cloth. Still life in these old cans yet!
  3. Wheels filling the arches nicely. Can't get this outta my head now....... "Get low get low get low"
  4. Love this pic Sky is proper moody. Reflections of the horizon nicely proportioned in the door Even the angle of the shot accentuates the muscular rear arch
  5. No......Won't catch me that scantily clad.....I ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES
  6. Spent ages in April wetsanding, polishing, alcohol wipe down and C4 coating my headlights. They started to cloud up already A bit fed up of such short lived results after so much effort. Then I remembered these quick restoration wipes where 1 wipe cleans the lens and a second one turns them clear leaving a sealant behind. No sanding or polishing. Apologies in advance. The presenter is dressed inappropriately. NO GLOVES So I spent a minute a side cleaning the surface with Meguirs Metal Polysh by hand. Then IPA wipe down using a kitchen towel. The towel picked up yellow residue in a similar way to the cleaning wipe on YouTube Left the headlights hazy Video of C4 turning them clear A few days later they're still clear today. Surface not glassy smooth like in April but for a few minutes work it'll do me Will probably post up pics of them cloudy again next month so you can all point and laugh saying "told you so"
  7. I vote a refurb back to silver with polished lips. With that finish they'd not look out of place amongst the likes of the highly revered Volk GTC/GTS et al
  8. That's one mean creation. The lips alone look wider than the rims on my wife's Mini. Must have alot of people guessing what make it is! Can you imagine if you had one of those flip paints and then got a parking ticket. "Make: UNKNOWN Model: UNKNOWN Colour: UNKNOWN" It would be worth getting a parking fine to get a ticket with those credentials
  9. I remember years ago seeing a pic of the wheels where Mike put a £10 note on them showing off how deep the rear lips were. Put Mick Jagger's lips to shame
  10. In a way it's scary how easy it is to trace someone over the internet these days Good to know you got a car with some good past owners
  11. Like his channel AND his exhaust!
  12. Wow...... what a find Please keep us updated with lots of pics. If ever there was a car that deserved a set of Nismo LMGT4S, this is it! Got so excited I forgot to say Welcome to the OC
  13. Bayside blue R34 for the win
  14. That looks like a gorgeous place to chill. Loving your headphone holder
  15. I've probably played ony PS3 for a total of 3 hrs in the past 12 months As for punch, the biggest impact has been the BK Monolith Plus subwoofer. Very solidly made ported 500w 12" sub Weighs in at 47kg. Made my old REL q200e look AND SOUND puny.
  16. Now that it's a batcave I can't see anything Retirement project maybe
  17. I use the term cinema room loosely. It's just a room in my cellar with cheap carpet over the concrete floor. Brick walls concealed with unskimmed plasterboard. Half my equipment bought back in the 90s. I moved in 6 years ago. Got a bigger 55" TV and soundbar for the lounge and shifted all my AV gear into the cellar. Put the old 42 inch Panasonic plasma down there. Hooked up to Onkyo sr606 reciever BK Monolith Plus sub KEF Coda 9 fronts KEF Coda 7 rears KEF center Some inherited Q Acoustics 3010 middle surrounds (the old owner left behind in the kitchen enabling an upgrade from 5.1 to 7.1 ) Put some led strip lights in. Was like this for years. Then a few months ago I treated myself to a cheap 1080p £170 projector Apeman LC600 and £30 screen. The lighting hides a multitude of sins. With the main lights on it's like a drunk tart the morning after Anyway, unlike with the plasma, with the projector I couldn't have the led strips on during use due to light pollution. Even with all the lights off, the light from the screen reflected off the walls and ceilings washing out the screen picture. So I shelled out £20 on some matt black paint to turn it into a batcave. Below are 2 pics of the same image with original white walls and the new black. For £20 the improvement in the black levels on the screen are night and day. I've heard using black velvet fabric brings reflections down several notches more! Slowly going through my Blu-ray collection again and spotted this yellow 370 in F&F6
  18. Couldn't believe I didn't spot this at the London street race scene after all these years.
  19. Welcome to the OC Very jealous of your shaded area by the garage. Perfect protection from the sun for a cheeky midday wash and wax
  20. You're like a Zed magnet. I reckon you spot more zeds than anyone else on the OC
