  1. Just popped out for some groceries. Couldn't resist a pic
  2. OMG......those dishes are so deep it's like looking inside the drum of a washing machine. I didn't think you could top the old rims but you have surpassed yourself
  3. Another sunset owner Welcome aboard. Nice collection of cars you have. I remember lusting after every single variant of the CRX with the ee8 in white being my favourite. Maybe because I'm nearly 50 and view things with rose tinted glasses, but the ee8 STILL looks the business. Pics of yours definitely need posting.
  4. This is my favourite shot. Maybe it's the car park lighting. Maybe it's coz I love the bulging rear arch. Who knows........but
  5. After watching the Gtr I'm flames, I remembered seeing this video of how effective a bottle of pop is at putting out a fire. The combination of releasing CO2 from the carbonated water and the propulsion of the fizz looks damn impressive. I'd probably opt for carbonated water as it'll be alot less sticky and tempting to drink
  6. Both are premium quality products so get a from me.
  7. Got this from the local bargain shop to clean the wheel barrels/backs. Basically just a noodle mitt type sleeve fitting over a thin plastic inner. Easily removed for washing. Thin enough to easily fit between my front calipers and wheel back. Long enough to comfortably clean the inside of the rear wheels. If and when the plastic inner snaps I'll try to bend a wire coat hanger as an inner........or just bin it
  8. Car is looking on point Only just noticed your number plate. 00.008MPG Driving it like you stole it
  9. In fact.......those liquid shoe polish things with a squeezy bottle and foam applicator at the end would be perfect....
  10. ^that's an ingenious idea. Reminds of those clear paper glue pens the kids had with a sponge tip to apply and speed the glue. Make sure you report back if it's effective once removing the green pad
  11. @Andy James those images look so satisfying with the gel turning the tyres glossy. I changed to a more satin look for years but I'm feeling the love for the glossy black finish again
  12. All these years I never thought of a brush Will give one a go when my gel arrives Don't think they'd be so good with a watery dressing like Autoglym instant tyre dressing
  13. Agree Stan, the gun culture is SCARY. When the footage of large groups of armed militia taking over the streets was shown....I cringed in disbelief and terror. So glad it didn't kick off back then.
  14. Use lengthways along the sidewall
  15. Cons If used on fat SUV tyres in a sideways direction so the curve follows the contour of the tyre, the soft black foam delaminates from the yellow after just a few uses. Do not do this.
  16. Seeing as I have noticed some discussion on this topic I thought I'd start a thread here for people to share their experiences. I bought a set of 5 off Amazon in 2018 https://www.amazon.co.uk/SODIAL-Professional-Automotive-Dressing-Applicator/dp/B076BCKWZB Gave 2 away. I'm on my second one. Even then it looks like it has plenty more use left. Below is the old next to a new one. Pros: Compared to the washing up sponges I was previously using they are less messy as they have a firm yellow foam handle. When used lengthways they're the perfect width for low profile tyres. The curved profile at the ends provides a nice sharp edge for detailed application where the tyre meets the rim. Less than a pound each.
  17. +1 on Ricey He even recommended Buffalo products for a DIY job so I think you're on the right path
  18. Looking forward to hearing and seeing your exploits with the alezan seats. You've done a top job on the black seats. I'm sure someone will post up regarding the dye and kit for alezan as I distinctly remember reading a couple of good alezan restoration threads this year.
  19. Probably one of the fastest 350Zs on track?
  20. Trump will never change.
  21. Thought I'd post up a few from Seoul Tuner here where the Zed steals the limelight. Turn on subtitles for this one. It's got DOUBLE Brembos and increased steering angle....
  22. £1.25 discount at the moment. Too good to miss........just ordered
  23. I fou out way back that even using mineral free water to rinse away Dry and Shine, I'd get a bit of streaking left the next day when it dried naturally if I didn't towel dry after. So whenever I use it at night I use a blow dryer. Just finished a quick prewash, 2BM wash, rinse, Dry and Shine, rinse and blow dry. Tyres dressed with autoglym instant tyre dressing spray. Not the best, but tyres don't have to be bone dry to apply.
  24. Sad to hear of your woes. Hope you get sorted soon.
  25. Welcome to the OC That's a really impressive photo of you and your Zed
