Seeing as I have noticed some discussion on this topic I thought I'd start a thread here for people to share their experiences. I bought a set of 5 off Amazon in 2018 https://www.amazon.co.uk/SODIAL-Professional-Automotive-Dressing-Applicator/dp/B076BCKWZB Gave 2 away. I'm on my second one. Even then it looks like it has plenty more use left. Below is the old next to a new one. Pros: Compared to the washing up sponges I was previously using they are less messy as they have a firm yellow foam handle. When used lengthways they're the perfect width for low profile tyres. The curved profile at the ends provides a nice sharp edge for detailed application where the tyre meets the rim. Less than a pound each.

Probably one of the fastest 350Zs on track?

Thought I'd post up a few from Seoul Tuner here where the Zed steals the limelight. Turn on subtitles for this one. It's got DOUBLE Brembos and increased steering angle....

I fou out way back that even using mineral free water to rinse away Dry and Shine, I'd get a bit of streaking left the next day when it dried naturally if I didn't towel dry after. So whenever I use it at night I use a blow dryer. Just finished a quick prewash, 2BM wash, rinse, Dry and Shine, rinse and blow dry. Tyres dressed with autoglym instant tyre dressing spray. Not the best, but tyres don't have to be bone dry to apply.

Welcome to the OC That's a really impressive photo of you and your Zed -
I've used Gtechniq C5 for years myself. I'm sure others may be able to recommend something newer and better/easier to use

Did you tell the detailer they are box fresh rims? I'd imagine the only prep they'd need is an IPA wipe down as there's no dirt, tar, fallout etc. Then wiping the ceramic coating on with a pad, gently wiping/buffing with a MF after, giving 24 hours to cure. Maybe have a go doing the barrels/backs first yourself and if it comes out nice then do the faces.

Those are works of art I'd have those in the lounge for a while......2 either side with a cushion between. I'd sit there resting my arms on em whilst watching TV caressing the Nismo'ness On a serious note, any thoughts on what you wanna coat them with while they're all fresh and "naked" before fitting them to your zed?

@Silverthorn If I owned your car, I'd be permanently be pumping this through the speakers

Wouldn't allow me inside the garage I'm afraid...... strict Covid-19 protocol For all I know they just welded some tips on and took £740 off me for the pleasure

I'm flattered, but I think THIS is one of the cleanest Zeds in the country...... Then there's members like ilogical and davey_83 who are in a next level of clean if you enjoy reading of detailing exploits. Many more that I haven't mentioned (not meaning to leave anyone out) that I can't remember off the top of my head

They're production is so sweet it you can't help but get a buzz watching their stuff .........I really need to go to sleep

One of the best 350z short films I've seen in a while. Definitely deserves headphones to appreciate the audio quality they put in. My favourite part is the sound editing at the roundabout........the exhaust and music coordinated with perfect timing

I've been using Lockwood and Greenwood since 2008. Great family garage. All the more special when you bump into another zed owner when you visit. We should form a thread of Lockwood and Greenwood members. When all the Covid settles maybe arrange a mini meet and service session

I haven't seen a 300zx since a Cars and Coffee meet a couple years back. Gorgeous machines in my eyes.

Got this finally fitted today by my local Scorpion dealer Topgear Motorsport in Stockport. Great friendly guys. 45 mins and the job was done. At first I was a little worried the tailpipes weren't as mirror finished as my old OEM one, but got home.....a little metal polish and it was OEM shiny. The tailpipes are about 1cm wider than OEM making it a little easier to clean inside the pipes. Sit about 1/2cm closer to the bumper but still leaving clearance to get a cleaning/polishing cloth over the top between bumper and pipe. Follow the same profile as OEM when viewed from the side and above. All in all perfect firmer and finish from Scorpion with a lifetime warranty to boot. No drone when cruising home at 40, 50, 60 or 70. In fact barely noticeable when just steady cruising making it easy to enjoy some tunes. Tickle the throttle a bit to accelerate and there's a bit more rumble than stock which is nice. However mine was leaking at the backbox flange for months so I may have a distorted memory of stock. Why it took Scorpion so long to offer rolled tips I'll never know as not everyone is a fan of the slash cut ones originally offered. Some pics at last.....
