  1. So thanks to all for the suggestions I got a new gear knob from ZillaLife, new gear shift gaiter from LitAuto, and a black Z emblem to replace the Nissan one on the back! Dope! Also bought a new lower control arm too as the bushing had gone. Need to get a dry warmer day to fit this. Is it hard to replace it?
  2. No way they do eyelashes for the 350z they should be banned, gear knob is a great idea mine looks like it was a snack from a previous owner
  3. Alright peeps Been a while since I posted but Xmas is coming up and the wife has asked what car mods I would like for a sub 50 quid budget. Each item could be up to £50 so I'm kinda stumped. I need some lower control arms but I can get these. Any visual or upgrades in this price category? Regards Chris
  4. Hey peeps I want some advice, I took my 350z down to Horsham Dev this week (video to come) to get the TCS button issue sorted out. Whilst there Phil had a look over her and pointed out, I need a new left lower control arm bush. I said I'm gonna track her a few times and he suggested I get some superpro bushings, and since the control arm has no Bush I'm probably gonna want to replace the arm too. Whilst I could just buy some arms from ebay or something, would it be worth upgrading the arms entirely? If so they typically come with bushes, would I replace these with poly superpro as well? What does anyone think?
  5. That's the thing though... I don't know if the shocks are causing the issue or the springs. I have read that lowering springs kill standard shocks. I can't see any visible oil leaks from the shock either. The ride is pretty bouncy though.
  6. So I managed to get the jack and stands out over the weekend to get under the back of the car. It seems after some inspection that the springs are Apex lowering springs with some of the yellow coating split and rusted a little, the shocks look like the originals with nissan printed on them and the back left has scrappy writing on it. Should I replace the shocks and keep the springs?
  7. Yeah me neither its not my choice of tyre but when I get chance to have a burn I don't have to be nice to them
  8. What I was wondering is that since I'm still waiting on my trolley jack and stands I wondered if anyone wanted a video chat when I get the chance to get under the car and someone could look at it with me if there isn't anything obvious?
  9. Gives me time to sort out my suspension issues anyway!
  10. Hi All, Thanks for the replies so far, I went out to the garage just now (needed some wood for a DIY project, that's another story) I lent over the back arches and pushed down and... nothing, I couldn't even push them down that much, like maybe a mm or two, I also got a photo... Feeling the tyres don't help me as someone put pretty much brand new tyres on it, I have a trolley jack on order and some axl stands too once they're here I can get under it for a better look.
  11. Nice Z! Welcome from a fellow newbie to the forum.
  12. There seems to be a clunking/scraping noise too, how would I check for springs? They're yellow springs by the way too haha whoever owned this before me out in bare minimum effort
  13. HI all, Since picking up the Z I notice that when I am travelling at 40+ mph and when accelerating hard the back end is really loose/sways from left to right with the slightest of steering adjustments. Is this an issue with the sway bar? Or drop links? Or something entirely different?
