  1. By the time I managed to get a pic I'd lost the sunshine. Never seem to capture her at her best. She was positively glowing in today's heatwave earlier.
  2. At about 6.40pm. Was a couple of lanes away in my sunset 350z but not so far as to not notice how glossy the rims were looking
  3. My cousin in Malaysia had an accident in his BMW 328i. Accident was bad. He rolled the car THREE times. Every panel an bumper was mashed. All airbags went off. Despite the car being nearly 2 yrs old, based on the Malaysian value of the car the insurance company refused to write it off AND FIXED IT. He told me a Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT86 is about $75kUSD!
  4. Truly an epic zed......a worthy successor to your previous project.
  5. The proportions of that lip really blend well. Lookin good.
  6. That colour is bang on. I can't imagine a better colour to refurbish the rays in if I had a black car. GLWTS.
  7. Oooooo....that candy red Zed is ON FIRE Shows off the lines beautifully.
  8. Looks to have been a busy show. That sure is a mighty fine 370z.
  9. Is that an Invidia exhaust I spy on the rear? Must sound lovely with the roof down. Your rims are looking mighty sparkly too. Shows real commitment with so many spokes. Post up some close-ups of the rims next time you've detailed them. It would be a shame to let all that hard work go without some nice after shots.
  10. The photos never seem to do sunset orange any justice. Especially if there isn't a direct light source like bright sunshine or street lamps. But when the sun sets (see what I did there ) sunset orange glows like a freshly forged sword Meant to be good weather next few days........enjoy the GLOW!
  11. This little dude must be the youngest most fanatical Rocky fan EVER!
  12. Always a case of different insurers being cheaper for different people. For my Zed for example, if it was totally standard Esure would have been cheapest. With a body kit and rims it has always been Adrian Flux that is most competitive. Just got to jump through all the hoops yearly really.
  13. Went to buy some gifts at Trafford Centre mall. Parked where I always park. Got my shopping done. Went back to find car is GONE! Took a pic of the spot where my car should be to ask security to check CCTV on that row. They told me there was an identical mirror image car park and to turn left instead of right at the Selfridges exit. I was almost unable to string a sentence together.....but agreed to look again. Found my zed . But there were two blokes walking around it wth a car key in hand. Looked like puppies going in circles about to take a dump. The look of confusion on their faces looked very familiar . They said they couldn't find their car. I told them my story showing them the pic on my phone where I thought my car should have been. "THAT'S OUR CAR! " Never before have I been so happy to be A PLEB
  14. Last year I used a cheap Silverline random orbital sander that was recommended years ago on DW, with a menzerna orange pad, some menzerna fine polish and then cleaned down with some apc. Coated with C4 and garaged overnight to cure. Yesterday just needed a hand polish.
  15. Almost got a yey from me until the rear end shot..........PORCSHE!......oh dear. Maybe without the vents on the bonnet it would be less busy as the rivets are already a bit too much.
  16. Corrected my fading headlights last year. Put a coat of C4 afterwards. Alas the cloudiness started to return. So unless I didn't apply correctly it's lasted only a year. C4 has lasted well about 4 yrs on my Mini's abundant exterior trim but alas fairs less well on the lenses. The new oxidation was minimal and was removed with Meg's metal polish by hand in a couple of minutes. I'll reapply with C4 and maybe top up with C2v3 every few weeks or so when I use it on the paintwork. Thought I'd just post up my experience in case others were expecting years of protection from C4 on lenses.
  17. +1 on Lockwood and Greenwood. They have seen and serviced more Zeds than any Nissan dealer in Manchester garanteed! Been taking my zed there for past 8 yrs. Timing chain has no set replacement time as far as I know unlike timing belts.
  18. The words "knob" and "delicious" in the same sentence.... dangerous! ........only if preceeded by the words "here's a video of me enjoying my....."
  19. I wonder if anyone has tried paint protection film on lips. I know it would only be the the dished surface and not roll onto the outer edge......and then there's the join line........BUT, it could stop the pitting on the most vulnerable surface where stones and brake dust get battered about like in a tumble dryer. That also leaves a much easier outer edge to maintain with regards to polishing and maybe using a sealant like Gtechniq C5. You can tell I really love how these rims set off your zed and would miss seeing you with them on
  20. Long life exhaust for you. Bose noise cancelling headphones for her. Match made in heaven
  21. Thanks for posting. Great pics
  22. Knob and rims look delicious
  23. Hi Matt. With those Volks being so damn fine........probably the sweetest rims to adorn a Zed, would it not be an idea to get some OEM 18' Rays for winter. I saw some on an Azure that were painted white and they looked pretty smart. You could probably bag a bargain on some battered 2nd hand ones with tyres knowing that you're planning a refurb! You could then get a glass plate and use the Volks as a feature coffee table in the lounge
  24. When I did the pedal dance fpr my flashing light I got no faults recorded too. Took it to my independent whi diagnosed and replaced a faulty clock spring. Problem solved. Not too dear if a second hand one can be found. Cost about £100 including fitting.
