reefshark Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I really enjoy Top gear (maybe im easily pleased) the only thing i didnt like about the Lambo review was the letterbox view, I also agree on the Chris Harris thing just find him really dull, and Roadkill is probably the best show on Youtube at the moment. 1 Quote
Jetpilot Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 If it was that bad nobody would be talking about it... Some of the most popular shows on TV are I'm A Celebrity, X Factor and Strictly. Doesn't make them good just because people are talking about them, or because they're pulling the viewers in. I agree, such shows are pure drivel, so i dont watch them Quote
Jetpilot Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 Tonights sounds good, a road trip in 3 GT cars Quote
andywatson Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Wonder how many peeps who hate TG watch it tonight - then moan tomorrow.........??? 2 Quote
Jetpilot Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 A spare hour and thought I would put the new show The Jump on. It lasted 8 mins and was presented with an overly excited, overly camp homosexual, TG will be positively superb after that 8 minutes. Quote

StevoD Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) thats was a fantastic episode other than the plate pisstaking at the start a very sensible episode Edited February 1, 2015 by StevoD Quote
Jetpilot Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 Cant quite get my head around how quick 2.5 tonnes of Bentley was and 3 million acres of farm!! Quote
hensh65 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 The drag race was a little weird. The gtr seemed to have the anchors dropped as the bmw ripped past. Quote
Zedd Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 The drag race was a little weird. The gtr seemed to have the anchors dropped as the bmw ripped past. James May stopped as he was just proving that the GTR was fastest off the line Quote
A2Zed Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 GTR was sweet. Can't get my head around any car that is yellow though... Waiting for the episode from Jap Fest. Did anyone else see them there? I think they were in an MG, an old Alfa and something else (a Triumph?). Can't quite remember. They went out on track and got rinsed by a load of Jap cars, including some RX8s and MPS Mazdas, if I remember right. Funny how they went "into character" as soon as the cameras went on. I'm sure they're not all such massive bellends in real life... Quote
Kraziekatz1 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Still love the GTR.....pound land grrrrrrr Felt a bit smug when they said it has nitrogen filled tyres, so do I Quote

Yeah they were there, havent seen the footage in any of the previews yet though! Hopefully it'll pop up at some point! Quote
andywatson Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Another good laugh, I liked the plate **** take, proves a point you can make a story out of anything! 3 good quality cars, GTR - Bentley - M6, would be my order of preference and would love a go on that hill climb Quote
SteveM Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Not me! for someone that back on page 2 said Anyways, I'll leave this thread now, as clearly TG is not aimed at folks like me. you havent half warbled on a bit....... Quote
brillomaster Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I thought it was a great episode! how they can get agreement from Nissan, Bentley and BMW to drive their top spec GT cars across the wilds of north Australia is beyond me. And the hillclimb in the quarry looked properly mental - that GTR was absolutely flying up the course. If Hammond really managed the time he did in the Bentley then he's a bit handy on the rough stuff as well. also liked their bit on the number plates - sarcasm at its absolute finest! 1 Quote
