It was a good day. I am also sunburnt. Some nice looking Zeds about. I drove down with some mates in a range of cars from Manchester. Left about 4.30am. We hardly saw any Jap cars on the way though - very strange. Usually as you get closer they are everywhere. One old Z and an S2000 at a services and that was about it. We had walkie-talkies though in a convoy which was class - like being a kid again.

I saw two lovely Zeds the other day. A black one in Macc with a boot full of tyres and the boot lid tied down, and a stunning grey one with dark wheels in Alderley Edge. Anyone on here?

GTR was sweet. Can't get my head around any car that is yellow though... Waiting for the episode from Jap Fest. Did anyone else see them there? I think they were in an MG, an old Alfa and something else (a Triumph?). Can't quite remember. They went out on track and got rinsed by a load of Jap cars, including some RX8s and MPS Mazdas, if I remember right. Funny how they went "into character" as soon as the cameras went on. I'm sure they're not all such massive bellends in real life...

What gear knob do you have? Is it a Nismo one or a standard? I'm after a Nismo one...

A quick thing I'm after is a new gear knob. Have seen a black Nismo one on eBay for £56. Seems a bit steep for a lump of metal. Is there anyone on here that sells them? Did a search and nothing came up.

Thanks for all the welcomes. My budget was £8000, but I wanted to keep a bit of this on one side to go towards tax and insurance. I looked at quite a few all over the place but they all had issues. I was about to do a 6 hour round trip to Swindon, when one came up 2 miles from my house . It was on for £8250, and I got him down to £7750. Great condition, 12 months MOT, and only 39,000 miles. It's an 06 plate. The only couple of issues are it will need new tyres fairly soon, and the W strut underneath is rusty, so that will need looking at. Since I got it, it's snowed lots though, so I haven't managed to do too much in it yet.
