LEGO!

4 hours flat finished the Mini Cooper, despite being about the same size/piece count as the 8 hour VW camper. It was so much easier because the bags were numbered and therefore only had to rummage around in 1/3 of the pieces at a time to find that elusive 1x1.

Some great wee details on this one, including the dials and radio on the dash as well as a handbrake and moveable seats for access into the back. I do think the steering wheel is a little oversized for the model, but who cares :p

The boot is great, just enough room for the picnic basket and bottle of water, plus the false floor under which is the spare wheel :D

So thats all my LEGO models built until I source another Tower Bridge, although I have the Back to the Future set and Exo Suit upstairs which are both LEGO Ideas sets, so I think I'm just going to keep them safe and sealed and hope they become collectors items :)

These sets are so detailed it's great.

I dropped the hint to the OH about getting some Lego and she gave me the go ahead on the proviso I give her a baby boy

Shame it's not the same as digital downloads for the Xbox where she will never know

Here's my lego technic collection, the boxes are a bit dusty but the sets are all complete. I also have lots of extra pieces which I've collected from online vendors, enthusiasts etc so that I could make other models as you can download instruction manuals from either lego or lego enthusiast forums :)

The digger is one of my favourites too as it has lots of moving functions so lots of gearing which for me is the best bit, I think it's great to build working gears/gearboxes with the little cogs and pins etc, it's motorised too wich is a nice touch, the pieces in the 8043 kit also build a bulldozer which is quite good but not as complex as the digger but still fun for a technics fan :)

Great collection there mate. They worth a bit more now for sure, but fun of building it is priceless B)

nice to think they may increase in value , maybe hand them down to my kids (now grown up) or my grandkids one day, absolutely agree you can't put a price on fun times/hours spent building, you can't beat the feelings of satisfaction after making (insert name of your favourite model here)

Purchased one last night in work ;) now I need to decide if I'm going to keep it safe as an investment or build it...

I purchased this the other night: http://www.lego.com/en-gb/technic/products/42039-24-hours-race-car

I'm seriously impressed - it's huge too! (48cm in length ooer) It's an awesome bit of kit and has really ignited a lust for more Lego - even though all I've managed to do so far is build the rear axle, diff, suspension and engine
