Bloody Irish getting all the bargains

Except they will be paying the price of that car in Tax

Good point, probably why it's so cheap.

I was so shocked when I found out the Tax prices in Ireland, it's disgusting.

Those tax charges only apply to cars bought in southern Ireland and then imported into the UK by the new owner. No tax involved with taking from Northern Ireland to the UK. I think they are cheaper over here because demand is lower.

It's £285 a year for that car over here, same as you guys. It;s only the South that have ridiculous €1500 tax costs.

It's cheap alright but the miles is a massive problem, even with the history.

The new owner will sail over the 200 000 mark which makes it pretty much unsaleable for all but a bargain bucket price.

But its already the bargain bucket price :D You could drive that for 2 years and sell it for the same money. In fact, you could buy it now and trade it in for something else for more

Anyone fancy lending me £3k? :D

Who was the guy on here years ago, i think maybe the first to reach 100k? He did a full write up of what it had cost him to own it to that point, and detailed everything that had been changed. I think he was a doctor if i remember rightly. Could be his.

Bought this, know the owner and the garage selling it. Any advice or tips/ items I should check or do to the car before I use it.

Hi to everyone as well first post on here.

Welcome aboard Grob.

Have a read through the service schedule to check against the cars history to make sure everything's been done that should have been depending on mileage/age of car.
