Darren-B Posted July 25, 2014 Author Posted July 25, 2014 So what do you guys think on wheel colour? Gold with polished lip, 15 x7" front & 15x8"rear Or gunmetal with polished lip? Quote
BulletMagnet Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Love the wheel style choice, always works with classic japs. If the car is staying orange, then I'd go for black centres, not sure if gold on orange would work as well tbh 1 Quote

LRF4N Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) With orange I'd go gunmetal or silver Edited July 25, 2014 by LRF4N Quote
GMballistic Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 All Gun Metal with no silver lip for the alloys imo. Quote
BulletMagnet Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Or go all matt... All Gun Metal with no silver lip for the alloys imo. Do you even read the thread properly? Quote
14N Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 With orange I'd go gunmetal or silver Gunmetal and orange do work well together The wheels remind me of Minilites Quote
Darren-B Posted July 25, 2014 Author Posted July 25, 2014 They are very similar Ian just not so mini 1 Quote
Darren-B Posted July 25, 2014 Author Posted July 25, 2014 Not sure what happened to my post earlier so I'll type it again What are people's thoughts on a staggered setup? 17 x 8.5" rear with a 235/40 tyre & 16 x7" front with 215/50 tyre With a 4mm negative offset & the extra width should fill the arches nicely Quote
Suits Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Saw this last night while I was picking up the Chinese take away. Instantly thought about this project. Rota's an all. Wonderful looking car, stunning profile. Quote
Bockaaarck Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Gunmetal with the polished lip / gunmetal all over FTW Quote

Ceejay29 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I will never forget the first ride I had in my friends 240; had a grin from ear to ear! Such an iconic Jap car, would love to own one. Will be keeping an eye on this one. Congrats on your purchase and enjoy Quote
Darren-B Posted August 1, 2014 Author Posted August 1, 2014 Well it's been a tough week, had very little time to play cars, well actually next to none. My rear lights never turned up after paying for the express delivery (4 working days) now 10 working days & there still not here, so had to do a quick re-wire, lose the reverse lights & make them indicators for the MOT tomorrow 1 Quote

I would keep the car original as possible. I know that may be a little difficult Quote
Darren-B Posted August 1, 2014 Author Posted August 1, 2014 Other than wheels & a more modern/safe re-wire the car is staying original. The lights that I'm Waaaaaaiiiiiittttttiiiiinnnnggg for are EURO/JDM spec 240z reproductions so as per OEM Quote
Darren-B Posted August 1, 2014 Author Posted August 1, 2014 Cheers Dave, I'm looking forward to driving it on the road, even though it will only be to the MOT station & back 1 Quote
