Richie94gts Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Good thread - somehow missed this one - really interesting and car look really nice. V tempted by the lights! I'll be refurbing my wheels (myself, or at least the lips) soon and will be really chuffed if they look even as remotely good as yours. 1 Quote

BulletMagnet Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 (edited) So today I went down to RT-Performance for what I will call Bonnet Refresh Ver.0.3 (The way it should have probably done in the first place) First sand down the entire bonnet with a sander, which took about 1-2 hours (Took me three days by hand using wet and dry) Then into the booth for masking up Add the right kind of lacquer using the correct method Went for a walkabout around Wembley while another layer was added left to bake in the booth. Came back and this Very pleased with the outcome Many thanks to Taras and Thomas (Thomasz?) for the great job Edited November 3, 2014 by BulletMagnet 1 Quote

ChrisB Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 That looks lovely, top work. I had the pleasure of RT's work a few years ago, and won't hesitate to book in with them for a paint refresh next year Quote
marzman Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 That looks like a million dollars. Out of interest, why was the bonnet left on the car and the whole car masked up? Wouldnt it have been quicker to take it off? Quote
BulletMagnet Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 That I don't know, as I did ask whether they wanted it off or not while I was taking the rain guards off the bonnet Quote
