Cam350z Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Hi everyone my name is cameron I'm 19 and live near Inverurie Aberdeenshire. I bought the 350z which is a japanese import in July last year. I never thought I would be able to buy one but the guy I bought it off of was in debt and needed it gone quickly. It is completely bog standard except it came with a sony headunit. It has had almost full service history bar 1 stamp (this was due to the guy not being able to afford it ), it has full leather seats and came with a private plate. the odometer is currently at 58500 miles although 38000 of these were done in kilometers (documented). There was some small stone chips in it aswell but me and my dad have touched them up so its looking all good. I have also bought alot of parts for it over the festive period so I'm looking forward to getting some friendly help as its a new car (to me) and I do not want to ruin it. Quote
mbs Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Hello & Take care, the Zed can catch you out if you're not careful, especially at this time of year when the roads are greasy. Quote
martinmac Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Hi and welcome to the forum. You are fortunate that there are a lot of owners very near you and they will give you all the help and advice you need. Quote
s14akw Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 hi mate welcome to the forum good to see yet another scottish member, what parts have you got to be fitted and as others have said take care on those roads up there especially when conditions are constantly changing Quote
Bendrews Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 insurance must be steep !! Have fun but tread carefully lol Quote
ZMANALEX Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Hi Cameron and to the forum mate. There are quite a few members in Aberdeen and the shire so you are not alone. I am just down the road in Perth and I pass through Inverurie every second week or so as I visit a friend in Rothienorman. Alex. Quote
Cam350z Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 Thanks everyone for the welcome . The roads are quite greasy up here so I have been taking extra care, in fact the roads are in such a state here it kind of puts me off driving it at the moment all together (pothole central). Its garaged all through the week anyway and only used every other weekend. The insurance is high but I know people paying more for there first cars but as most of you would probably agree the high price is well worth it. Anyways over christmas I managed to get some lucky bids on ebay, as the car didn't come with a satnav I bought a pioneer double din headunit ( now fitted thanks to a guide on the site) and a set of brembos with new pads, disks, hangers etc. so I was wandering what else I would need to carry out the brake conversion. I was also looking to buy a motordyne plenum spacer, Y-pipe, up-rev air box, resonated de-cats, a race cat and also a place to get the car mapped without having to travel the length of the country to get it done. All help would be greatly appriciated. Quote
JetSet Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Welcome to the forum and Zed ownership . There are apparently at this time only 2 companies that can remap the Zed, one in Leeds and the other in the south of England, you can of course do all the other mods you've listed yourself. Pete Quote
Clarkie Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Welcome to the forum, hopefully see you out and about. Quote
bronzee Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Welcome, happy motoring. I'm sure those Zeds are breeding up in Nessie Land. Quote
