  1. Hi looking to source a mass airflow housing for my car as there is a hole in the bottom of the housing. The car is a 03 de 350z. The part number is: 22680 CA000 AFH70-36 The mass air flow sensor is not needed. Any help greatly appreciated.
  2. Thanks for clearing that up for me. My policy renewal is in August so I would still be able to claim for the door repair at least, which should reduce the overall cost. Fitting the bill for the other repairs will just be an expensive life lesson haha.
  3. Hi Looking for some insurance help/advice. My car was damaged back in May 2017, someone scraped down the side of my car . Since the damage was done I have had the car garaged at my parents house mainly due to being fed up of getting it damaged (3rd time now, 2 scrapes down the side and a bath tub scraped against the car and dumped on my roof (around 2013)). I have police reference numbers for the bath tub incident and the scrape in May but my dad and uncle convinced me to not go through insurance as it will affect my premium (Male 26 almost 9 years no claims bonus). I have no claims protection so couldn't really understand their logic but I have never had to use my insurance company for anything so wasn't sure if it would affect my premium or not. I have recently been to a reputable body shop to get a quote to get my car fixed and got quoted approx. 2000 pounds. This includes pulling dents from the door, roof, and boot while respraying the roof, 1 wing, door, rear bumper and 1 rear quarter. While the car was in the bodyshop I was thinking about getting them to spray the roof metallic black and also get them to fit a Stillen roof spoiler although I don't think I will be able to get them to do this at the same time due to it not being back to standard. My question is whether it is too late to go through my insurance to get the car fixed and if I can get the car fixed through insurance could I get the modifications done to the roof (colour and spoiler) at the same time and pay for that part myself or would it be 2 trips to the bodyshop? Any help greatly appreciated.
  4. My car threw a fault code that other day C1108 13 which when I looked it up said it was the FR LH SENSOR - 2. Car is currently stuck in limp mode. Am I right in thinking that it is the front left ABS wheel sensor? If so where is the best place to buy from in terms of price? Any help greatly appreciated. Cameron.
  5. Looking for an undamaged passenger side door due to someone reversing into the side of my car and driving off . Spoke to the bodyshop and they said that it would be cheaper to re-spray and fit an undamaged door than to remove the dents/scrapes out of the damaged door. The colour of my car is blade silver. Located in Aberdeen Scotland so would need to door posted up. Any help greatly appreciated
  6. Not interested in buying this, just wondering what everyones opinions on it are? https://www.gumtree....ads-/1220855870
  7. Ok I'll keep that in mind and mention that to them when I take it over. Thanks again for your help
  8. When I spoke to the guy he said that they would try and get the car back to manufacturer settings and make adjustments as to avoid any issues with the tyres rubbing on the arches. I've had the car aligned before but no one has ever asked me what settings I would like. If the parts arrive this week I'll hopefully get them fitted at the weekend and get the car booked in for an alignment next week .
  9. Thanks for getting back to me, I decided to take the plunge and buy the SPL eccentric lockout kit and Circuit Sports toe arms. I am based in Aberdeen and the nearest Hunter alignment place is at Reidline Performance which used to be where Clark Motorsport was situated. I spoken to one of the guys in person, telling him the modifications that have been done and he seemed pretty confident that they'll be able to align the car. I was just wanting to make sure that the car was fitted with suitable parts that will allow for a decent alignment as I have heard that sometimes the stock toe bolts don't allow for a great degree of adjustment on lowered 350z's.
  10. Hi, I have just fitted a set of HSD mono pro coilovers, Driftworks front & rear camber arms, Driftworks rear traction arms, new oem toe bolts and a full set of Whiteline front and rear adjustable drop links. The car is on a set of 19's (245/35 et12 f and 275/35 et12 r) with a 35mm gap from the top of the rim to highest point of the arch all round. The rear arches have been rolled too. Car is currently way off camber and toe wise and is still current garaged for the winter (tbh I have not tried to set the car up). I am away to get the car booked in to get a Hunter 4 wheel laser alignment and want to make sure that I have made all the appropriate suspension modifications before booking it in. I have searched on this forum to see if I was missing anything and people on here seem to also change out the original spring bucket for adjustable rear toe links while also swapping out the oem toe bolts for the eccentric lockout kit. The car will most likely only see road use and cover <2000miles per year. I have heard that the oem toe bolts can slip altering the alignment of the car. I have also heard it can be difficult to align the car on oem toe bolts if it has been lowered. The price for the alignment is quite high and don't want to have to make multiple trips to get it aligned due to parts slipping, not getting properly aligned etc. so I would like to know if its worth spending the extra money so that the car will have a better chance at staying aligned for longer of if this really just applies to people who track/thrash their cars? I have heard on hear that people do not rate the Driftworks traction arms and would recommend fitting the oem ones back on. I don't really want to do this as I knackered the standard traction arm bushings taking them off and don't really want to buy new ones if it isn't necessary. If the change is recommended can anyone recommend a set of adjustable rear toe links? I have seen prices for the eccentric lockout kits which to me seem incredibly high for the sake of 4 bolts and 8 washers and was wondering if anyone on here has made their own set before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Cameron.
  11. Would it be possible for you to post a couple of photos with the wheels on your car? Just to see what they look like on your z with the widths/offsets?
  12. The car has been working fine since it was repaired, it wasn't until the last couple of weeks I noticed the window problem and even more recent with the lock not unlocking 100% of the time. The body shop did a great job can't fault them in any way really as the car has been back on the road since April with no problems . My dad thought that between changing the door over dirt might have got inbetween connections etc.
  13. Hi, I've recently garaged my 350z for the winter as I don't want to risk damaging it in icy weather. During this time I want to fix some minor problems with it. The main problem is that when I open the passenger door the glass does not shift down (catches the top of the door/roof when opening) which also means it catches when I close the door. I'm really worried that someone will give the passenger side door a good shut and end up breaking the window. I have searched online here and also googled it but all the explinations seem a bit vague. A window reset does pop up a few times as a solution but I'm not sure if it could just be something I'm not thinking of that could be really easily solved. Other than this both windows work perfectly. Another problem is that the passenger side also has a sticky lock i.e. when unlocking the car the passenger side does not unlock 100% of the time. Has anyone ever had this happen to their cars before? The car is a 2003 JDM coupe. Thanks in advance, Cameron
