Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Haha thanks guys, yeah a while ago I was thinking about getting a private plate but then realised I already had a decent plate. thankyou Sam, yes as Sam mentioned I am a final year mechanic but I’ll try and help as much as I can with questions or anything else aha Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 So on this thread I shall put an Insight to my build, I started off with some HSDs monopro with the softer springs god tracking and adjusting was a rollercoaster Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Went for a single exit AAM competition and sold my non resonated cobra sports dual, had a minor mishap with a bottom control arm bush and decided these billet ally with uprated bushes would be a good choice, little did I know they weren’t quite machined right so me and my boss had to make some washers to ensure the ballpoint tightened properly 1 Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Changed the spoiler to a Nismo v2 supplied from tarmac Sportz and did a full detail to give her the love she needed 1 Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Asked my boss to paint the spoiler for me and help me fit it which was a pain in itself as we did it without using a stencil to mark the holes and run the brake light wiring Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Needed to replace rear discs and pads so went all out and went for EBC yellow stuff and drilled and grooved as you do. The Z deserves the best! Became well acquainted with a common problem to the brembos over a certain age! The shim plates rising due to salt corrosion as the paints come off the calipers Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Another minor detail issuing poorboys wheel wax! And a couple of upskirt shots Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Finally decided to spruce up some of the interior by painting the silver trim on the dials as felt it was just a bit boring so I also did the gearstick surround and the the dash trim in graphite black 1 Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Decided on some new wheels but saving up for these 7twenty style 42s, also up to date replaced some the rear tyres with some Falken azenis 510s and also painted the logos so people know I can’t afford continentals haha! 1 Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Hope I’ve not spammed too much! cheers for the kind words guys look forward to being more a part of the forum where I can be! cheers guys Quote

Ogman Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 Lovely motor mate. Really tidy mods you've done there, wheels and spoiler make it for me 1 Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Thankyou guys yes I do love the azure blue makes it for me, and cheers yes I wanted something that shaped with the body added something to the back end Quote
msitpro Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 Great paintwork. I do think it need a more aggressive rear bumper with that spoiler and the single exit though.... Slippery slope because then you'll want to balance it with more aggressive front and skirts! Maybe bumper cut or tuck plus a top secret style diffuser? Then as I say to balance it out maybe a front lip/splitter combo? 1 Quote
Azurez33 Posted July 12, 2020 Author Posted July 12, 2020 Haha cheers mate, I’ve been thinking about both bumpers skirts and front lip and diffuser, when you say bumper cut have you got any pictures? Quote
