xscotteex Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Hey guys, I'll be viewing my first 350 this weekend with a hope to buy at the start of the new year. I currently drive a VW Scirocco GT 2.0 TSI, so this will be quite a change. The z's have always been a favourite of mine and I am on the lookout for a good spec GT, or possibly a Nismo if it could be found at the right price. I'll be lurking around and picking up on the knowledge I need to buy, and hopefully join your ranks soon! Scott Quote
Jetpilot Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Welcome Many will be quick to tell you, real Nismo variants will cost you and arm and a leg and there are only maybe 2 or 3 in the country, they are very different to the std gt that was offered with a Nismo bodykit from UK dealers. Hope that helps. Quote
xscotteex Posted December 14, 2016 Author Posted December 14, 2016 As I understand the GT spec is distinguished by the heated seats, Bose sound system and cruise control? What is the tell tale sign for a real nismo? Quote
xscotteex Posted December 14, 2016 Author Posted December 14, 2016 Well that'll do it! Hah, cheers. The first I'm viewing, I am a little dubious of as he hasn't put up much info. I'll make sure I come back with an update Quote
Jetpilot Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Basically a 350z with a Nismo bodykit does not make it a "Nismo", hopefully that makes sense This seems a very nice car, whether its authentic is a different matter but does have great spec. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/113258-nismo-z-tune-fairlady-z/ Quote

I'm in no rush to pick one up as my rocco is running well, so I'll be using my head rather than my heart Quote
Paddy78 Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 from Leeds (Calverley). A car with a factory fitter nismo kit, LMGT4's and nismo exhaust is a very rare beast indeed. You would have to pay well over 10k for one now I suspect. Happy hunting. Quote
xscotteex Posted December 14, 2016 Author Posted December 14, 2016 Thanks, that seems to be the going rate around 10k12.5k I may just end up lowballing and get a 7/8k example and pour some money in Quote
Jetpilot Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 (edited) It will end up costing you way more than £10k, body kit, buy, fit and paint would add up to that (if not more) from your budget of £7-£8k, lmgt4's £1500, nismo exhaust £800. Good luck with your search but if thats what your after, that one linked is a prospective bargain and at £10k with all those goodies, they may even take an offer Edited December 14, 2016 by Jetpilot Quote
