MikeyM Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Having fallen in love with Skye in recent years and visits it now looks like I may move there within a few months. Found an amazing property in the North of Skye 😎 But, having noted the nearest Scottish members are 5hrs away and obviously there is NO car scene in Skye do I take my zed or not ? I will already stand out in the daily, a TT running 300bhp and it's custom decat rumbling exhaust lol Will the Zed be wasted I wonder 😢 1 Quote
Andy_Muxlow Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 You could start the car scene there maybe? â˜ºï¸ Sent from my iPhone using hammer and chisel! 1 Quote

Maybe......if I fit tractor tyres lol No, seriously, North of the island is pretty much single track roads, and I have never, ever seen a modified car of any kind up there..yet 🤔 Quote
Andy_Muxlow Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Probably wouldn't do her any good then really 😟 Sent from my iPhone using hammer and chisel! Quote
Gus-350z Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 A zed on the Isle of Skye sounds like my idea of heaven 1 Quote

Sargara Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 (edited) Try it first I reckon. Worst comes to worse sell up after giving it a shot? Edited June 19, 2016 by Sargara 2 Quote
Bems Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Keep, try, enjoy. If it's causing issues then move somewhere else Quote
coldel Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Took the Celica up there with Irn Bru and a load of other Zeds, can honestly say you would be gutted if you didn't have the Zed to take on the roads on Skye and off it... Quote
cheeky_em Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Hey MikeyM, just stumbled across this topic. You're not alone in owning a Zed on Skye, I've just got myself one. I stay north Skye too. Give us a wave if you see me on the road! 1 Quote

MikeyM Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 I only moved up here 6 months ago.. but if the club ever does a run up this way I have space on my drive for about another 5/6 cars and two spare bedrooms 😎 1 Quote
-G- Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Some of the best roads in the country are just north of Skye (in the summer) I'd be tempted to keep it as a weekend only car and get a 4x4 for when the weather is mince! 1 Quote
shaunRS Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Keep it, brilliant roads and very little cop activity = what these cars are built for 1 Quote
Exec Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 I'd hate to part with my zed, if money allowed I'd take it with me. Provided there are plenty of premium unleaded pumps in the Isle of skye Quote
Wendy Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 We are visiting Skye mid June, 6 cars, 3 of which are Zeds. Staying on mainland though and popping over on 2 days. PM me if interested for drive out, meet up. 1 Quote
