Take it back to the garage
The plate is accessed form the top and is positioned around the gear stick.
If you want to have a go yourself then give me a shout and I will talk you through it.

As above, normal noise, however if car is under manufacturer's warranty, then best to get them to have a look at it and get your complaint documented on the Nissan system

Neil,
I run the LM2 system, Defi Link system with the warning indicator and a AEM AFR Uego controller.
Easy to monitor with the Defi warning indicator as that is four gauges that you do not require to permanently watch.
I should have this in stock mate, however I would require your vin to confirm.
Nissan UK price is £404.57 + vat
Best that I can do is £364.00 +vat

I think that one of the garages is quoting you for a gasket and the other one is quoting you for a crush ring.
From the factory the rear box is sealed to the mid pipe by a crush ring.
I replace these crush rings with a fire ring gasket and charge them out to forum members at £4.95.

As the guys have said I would also concur that this may be a classic case of the TCS cutting in.
"Real" drivers have it switched off permanently.
I personally find that it is more a hindrance than a help.
