  1. Yes, sounds good to me, however are you saying that you have never successfully ever got a true dip stick reading? To obtain a true dip stick reading, simply park your car on a level surface and leave over night and check from cold in the morning. simples.
  2. The compression rod, affectionately called the banana arm will probably be the culprit. Alex.
  3. The piston will simply press back in using finger pressure only, however it has to be 100% square. It is very easy but there is a knack. Alex.
  4. Clutch throw out bearing or/and crank spigot bush. Just replace both when fitting new clutch which wont be long at 87k.
  5. The image is of a 2 way Kaaz which I was setting up at 60%
  6. Could well be an archived code from an old issue.
  7. If you have the skills to remove the pumpkin then you should manage the setting up. Just a case of deciding what lock you want and positioning the plates accordingly. About a 2 hour job on the bench.

  9. Edinburgh to Perth is only 45 minutes away, even with a sick 350. I am away on Saturday but will be available on Sunday. What Nissan dealer did you use in Edinburgh ? Alex.
  10. Most insurance companies will take into consideration your business NCD when quoting for a commercial policy. As Tim has said the general profile is what they usually look at and if they mirror the NCD then the discounts will apply. All you really require is a letter from your company MD or Sec. stating that you have not had any claims in the past "2" years.
  11. What Bradders has said.. Start with the brake fluid level and make sure that it is on max with the filter removed. Alex
  12. Cam position sensor is a common issue and stretched main chain and cam chains are also becoming quite common especially on higher mileage cars. The easy way to check your main chain is to remove the front inspection plate and check how far out the hydraulic main chain tensioner pad is. This check will remove any guess work and will determine if the main chain is worn out with oem tolerances or not. It is a 15 minute check and I am based in the Perth area if you would like me to have a quick look. Also no computer work required to replace the chain/chains. Alex.
  13. to the forum and enjoy your Roadster young man.
