  1. How do I pull these codes up? And no test drove it and it made it home 120 miles fine. And bank transfer Best to use a code reader to pull and reset the codes. Paying cash, then you are well and truly shafted if is costly unless the seller is prepared to help you out. Check the fan motor operation and report back. Alex.
  2. Very rarely, I have only seen it once in circa 20 overheats. Alex.
  3. I have fitted and sold many of the diff bushing kits and had no issues. I am assuming that you are referring to the front bushings and not the bushing that has failed. You have not said what brand of bushing kit you purchased or who supplied it, so if you provide that info then I can advise further. However may also be a plan to direct this question directly to your supplier. Alex.
  4. £40.00 a disc for a skim You can get new budget discs for less than that. Och well as long as it is sorted and you are happy. Alex.
  5. If the EML has also come on then best to pull the codes and post up what they are and I will provide you the fix. However I doubt if the issues will be related. Hope that you have not been sold a pup Did you get a pre purchase independent inspection carried out on the car ? How did you pay? Alex.
  6. If your issue is only when driving in traffic or stationery then it is a 1% chance that it will be the stat. From cold, top up your coolant from the radiator and then the reservoir bottle up to max slowly leaving enough time for the air to escape. Start the car and leave to tick over with air con on until the fans kick in or until it overheats. Going on what you have written it will 99% be the fan motor/motors that have failed. Oh! unfortunately you may now have to bleed the coolant system which is another can of worms. Let me know if I can help further. Alex.
  7. Refer to my previous message above #2. This is a common gearbox noise, just live with it as I doubt it will get any worse. You may be experiencing this noise now as perhaps they have put the wrong oil in the gearbox which unfortunately is also a common issue. Alex.
  8. Not often I complain, however this one has got under my skin. I shipped a 350Z Roadster boot lid to a fellow member recently. The item was extremely well wrapped with 4 coverings of bubble plus extra corner padding and then into a flat 4mm card board box.. This was then double wrapped by 5mm card to give total protection, even a Sherman tank would have had a problem damaging this one. I went the extra mile on the packaging as I wanted the item to arrive in one piece as insurance cover was not available on this item from Paisley Freight unless a total loss. Item was collected on time, however, some how they managed to lose a boot lid in transit. After carrying out their customary warehouse checks, around a week later they declared the consignment as lost and said that they would raise a claim and asked me to forward all the relevant paperwork, which I duly did. Around 3 weeks later I received an email informing me that the item had now been found and did I want it shipped on to the original recipient or did I want the item returned to myself. I asked them to return to me as my customer had now sourced one elsewhere. Item arrived back around one week later and it was obvious that the item had been opened by the courier for inspection and identification as it was returned to me with the minimum of wrapping. The outer double 5mm card covering was missing completely, as was all the internal bubble and added protection. Two of the corners were open, exposing the boot lid and damage was visible. I asked the courier guy If I could open the consignment before signing to which he agreed. It took a mere 10 seconds to remove the packaging exposing damage to two corners of the boot lid. The courier guy entered the damage into his hand held machine and I signed as receiving as damaged. On contacting Paisley Freight they stated that they were sorry, however their terms and conditions clearly stipulate that there is no insurance cover for damage to this item. I explained that the item had been opened by their courier for inspection and identification purposes and that insufficient wrapping had been reapplied, to which they replied that their couriers are not a packaging company and that they would have wrapped the parcel best they could. I politely remonstrated with them, reiterating that the damage was caused by their couriers not wrapping the goods in a manner to safeguard any potential damage, however Paisley Freight were just not interested and refused to accept any form of responsibility. In my view Paisley Freight and their agents have acted in an unacceptable and unprofessional manner showing little regard for the safeguard of the consignments that they ship. In this instance my view is that they have been neglectful and should have made sure that the item was wrapped in the manner in which it states in their own terms and conditions. If they had done this then I doubt very much that they would have damaged the goods. Thankfully my customer was very understanding even though he was greatly inconvenienced, and I have since reimbursed him in full, however I am still out of pocket due to Paisley Freight not taking responsibility for their own or agents extremely poor level of service. I would strongly advise everyone not to use Paisley Freight as this level of service is just not acceptable.
  9. I have a mint set of 19" LMGT4s with tyres for sale and also a mint set of 20" R35 GT-R without tyres. Alex.
  10. May be the gearbox front bearing. Go talk to your garage that fitted the clutch. Alex.
  11. It is not that straight forward as It works on a percentage of the cost of the repair against the value of the car. In your case any repair over the value of £3200.00 would probably result in an uneconomical repair in the eyes of the insurance company. Alex.
  12. You can start with me tomorrow, just turn up with your tools. No interview required. You can be my master tech. Superb salary and generous annual paid holidays. Great working conditions in a friendly and safe environment.
  13. Remember that the rubber surround with the 3 male fixings are part of the glass. You will also have to replace the 3 female fixings if they are damaged. Alex.
  14. Got to be a wind up, surely.
  15. Is that not fraud ? Kinda crazy putting statements like that on an open forum.
  16. I am not proud of it and I do know that it is inconsiderate, however I park like this every time I visit a supermarket. Rather take a few derogatory comments from fellow shoppers or a ticket, than a bash in my car. Alex.
  17. Remember that they are bonded in so removing the old one and cleaning up is a real pain, however once all the faces are clean, the fitting of the new one is straight forward. Alex.
  18. How do you know your discs are warped. ? More than likely you will have pad deposits or suffering from DTV. Give them another bed in and report back. Alex.
  19. Best to fit new as pre-owned will be damaged, trust me. Alex.
