You can't turn off the sensors for the OPs issue as the code relates to front sensors. However the rear sensors as you rightly mention can be turned off as they serve little significant purpose.

Unfortunately it looks like you have had your pants well and truly pulled down.

Or swop out the sensor.

Only replace the pipes that are seriously corroded. Never heard of having to replace the complete set. Is this an MOT failure or just an advisory ? As what Keyser has said. I have all the pipes in stock, however I doubt very much that you will require them all. Are you running Brembo or JDM calipers ? I would get the garage to more specific on what is required. Could well be just surface rust which will clean off and then you can give them a good coating of grease to prevent further corrosion.

Are all these easy to spot from underneath? Just take the car to a specialist and they will have it diagnosed and sorted in no time.

Is it a platform 4 poster or a more modern 2 poster ? If the garage do not have the capability to get the car on there ramp then I would not be trusting them with a gearbox out job.

Probably coincidence unless you have left the alternator belt very lose and it is not charging as it should. Check your battery terminals first.

Our Pedro is totally innocent and not a bad bone in his body.

This method sometimes does not work so to be sure best to connect the replacement fully charged good battery direct to the terminals.
