  1. Will keep this up to date, and can also talk to the workshop about the airboxes for you! I should be having another meeting with them next week so will get back to you soon about it!
  2. Posted this up on the overclockers forum, should've done it on here beforehand! I don't post a lot and do a lot of lurking, so here is my build. Thought i would post up a new project i'm doing and my friends custom car workshop is doing for me. Me the ideas and finance, workshop the ideas and expertise to do all of it! 350Z hybrid, using a ZF 8HP75Z Gearbox mated to and adapted to fit the VQ35HR. We have an ECU coming down to fit to the Gearbox so we can tune that to make it as best as we can. The EV motor inside the bell housing is rated to around 120BHP and i believe around 250ft-lbs of torque. We will be using it as a sequential shifter, at a later date we will be adding paddle shifts. Haven't fully figured out what battery we will use, but most likely a BMW sourced one, fit that either in the spare wheel well or in front of the rear wheels but behind the seats to keep the weight low and centrally located for weight distribution. Also while we're at it we will be cutting weight as much as possible for the added weight everything we will be adding. Lots of other things to be doing and going into it like EV controller, DC-DC converter and cooling system as well as an ECU to control everything and to talk to the ICE ECU. We are changing the instrument cluster too for a full digital dash, including changing the center console to fit a 10 inch tablet to bring the interior fully up to date with modern times! Other mods include custom stainless steel long tube manidolds and titanium single exit exhaust. We have fitted Jenvey ITB's, bit of figuring out on that one as they are made for the DE engine so an adapter had to be 3D printed to fit that to the HR. Getting some cool custom airboxes 3D printed for that too to get cold air from the front bumper. I've probably forgotten other stuff, like what we already have installed on the car like BBKs and other geometry parts and coilovers too, etc. There are other stages too, technically this is the first stage out of 3. Ask away on questions if you like! WARNING - LOTS OF PICTURES!
  3. Waiting to receive mine. Will report once i have them. Also my previous history is BC Coilovers and unfortunately to say Ohlins too (They worked brilliantly, till the 2 rear shocks snapped off)
  4. Right first off. Bought BC coilovers for my first round of mods but after a couple years found out these felt hard as nails over small bumps and wallowed on big undulations. What didn't help was the knocking on the rear shocks. So decided to upgrade. Bought ohlins! Thought, nah nothing could go wrong with these. Brand name alone should mean it's amazing! Nah! After the 2 years warranty was up the left rear shock had snapped. Then a year later the right rear snapped. Lovely. So what I'm going for is I want something on the same level as the ohlins (or better) single adjustable. Works brilliantly on the road but can really firm it up for some track use. Any help? (Was looking at the Fortune Auto 510 - 5 year warranty!, or MeisterR GT1s being at least they're in the UK)
  5. Theres also a Zed in the title sequence for the Marvel logo
  6. I try to justify £2500 to myself on a daily basis. Havent quite got there yet Would also state that Ive seen no evidence of KW v3's for £1250 as claimed earlier in the thread. You gets what you pay for I think Totally understand that, that's why the only reason i bought them was because i grabbed a brand new set at £1400! Have you tried other coilovers, and if so how do the Öhlins compare? Unfortunately i haven't tried many and they were of the cheaper spec stuff, i have tried the standard suspension, BC Coilovers, and MeisterR (the non GT1 spec, the lower spec ones) I found that the BC Coilovers were crashy and would lift too much at motorway speeds, when there were big undulations it felt like i was boating, then when it came to small bumps it felt like it crashed everywhere. Hated them in the end! MeisterR is fitted to a mates car, while pretty good, better than the BC, they were smooth, but the damping forces when tried to drive hard just didnt work that well. Worked great as a normal daily driver that's for sure. Never drove it on the motorway so i can't give anything on that. Ohlins, literally as soon as i started driving them on the setting they recommended you could tell how well the damping was for the car, the crappy roads over here weren't crappy anymore, no more sloppiness and there was a massive increase in confidence when driving hard, it just was everything i needed it to be, of course there could be better ones, but for the money i paid i don't think i'll be able to get any better.

  8. I vote for Ohlins DFVs just to throw more spanners into the works
  9. As of last weekend, i weighed in at 108.3kg, so that's 1kg a week lost, mirror wise it does seem mostly from bodyfat, seem to be getting leaning, vascularity is showing through a lot more, haven't seemed to have lost much mass. Losing strength, but that's to be expected, should be hopefully levelling out around 80% of my max. Will still lift heavy and big as that's the way my body seems to respond. And i'm only bridging till my next cycle which will start on the 16th, just met with a few mates who run a meal prep business and a another who runs an MMA gym, will be getting the right nutrition out of my meals and then getting beasted twice a week for 28 minutes of HIIT.
  10. Just finished my bulking phase just before christmas, hit 111.4kg. Benching 220kg for 1 rep max, 250kg squats for 1 rep max and 300kg deadlifts for 1 rep max. Still probably roughly 18 to 20% bodyfat though. Will be heading into my cutting phase in the next couple of weeks. By the end of March I'm hoping to be 110kg at 8 to 10% body fat before i bulk again. Just hope i can retain at least 80% of my strength through cutting. Will to what i can to head to 120kg though, so i can cut down to 110kg at 3 to 4% bodyfat for competition prep that i will be doing at the end of the year. Will post some pics up, I was holding a lot of water at the time, this is before i came off my bulking phase. Leg pics is a few weeks after i injured my left knee, so haven't trained legs in a while, first time i was back after 3 weeks. 19" arms, 33" waist, i've gotten to 32" before so ideally i need to be 30" for the comp. I haven't checked my chest or leg size, though i suspect im around 48 to 50" on the chest, going off clothing size. Will keep this up to date as i work through my cycles and phases. Hopefully i'm not coming across as trying to show off, just showing my progress after 7 years of on and off training, and only this last 6 months i've really put my heart and soul into it as i have a goal to achieve now instead of just trying for vanity lol. Hope it might inspire someone!
  11. Dammit, hoping it wouldn't come to that but i will email you.
  12. Well i did as instructed, disconnected the Battery, ECU then the Throttle bodies... and now my idle is fluctuating from 1200rpm to 1750rpm. I did the idle relearn, a few times, still nothing, gonna try disconnecting the battery for a bit and see where that gets me. It drives fine though, just whenever i stop it keeps hunting for the idle. And when changing gears it wants to rev a tad high. Mark you have any tips for me?
  13. Thanks Mark, will do. And i can just plug these back in and everything will be back to normal?
  14. Ah, thanks for the advice Mark. Yeah i will be disconnecting both the battery and throttle bodies before i do any cleaning.
  15. Thanks for the response guys. Thanks Zmanalex, kinda puts me at ease. BulletMagnet, they went wrong in the first place because of all the gunk that has been accumulated it seems, so hence wanted to clean them properly. Dave6188, will do buddy, i shall be posting back up on Saturday or Sunday.
