I think that it may cost more than £70,00 for an informed diagnoses for your issue. My first port of call would be to methodically check all fuses and fuse links. Also, did you check for DTCs ? Good luck.

3/4 of a litre over 500 miles may be something that you can live with, compared to the 1.5 litres over 500 miles. Yes, ECV same as PCV.

all i know is its a DE dont think its a rev up as it only revs to 6200 ...its a 04 plate See my edited last message.

Is this an early DE or a later Rev Up or HR ? Ignore that, just noticed early DE. Okay, check that the ECV is not jammed. If the valve is okay, no point in messing about with further diagnoses. If there are no external leaks then I am afraid it is engine build jobby.
