  1. It is a cat C pal - and i think the rear subframe is slightly bent which would be a massive job to change mehhh..
  2. GUYYYYYYYS ----- UPDATE!!! So when i turn the traction control OFF = no problems at all its up in the air and into second gear doing 40mph everything smooth..... I have the traction control button bypassed basically so it turns off 100% not 50% as standard.... im assuming its a snagged wire or sensor thats broke ... so obviously when traction is turned on then i have the problem of it coming on instantly killing my throttle and juddering noises from the gearbox area -- Cant be anything major at least if its driving fine in the air with the traction turned off... going to drive it to work in the morning nice and steady with the traction turned off. Il get it up on a ramp at the weekend maybe plug in the code reader -- as i cant tell if it has thrown engine management light on because ive decatted it and engine management light stays on anyways...
  3. Zmanalex.... when you had your 3 propshafts break..... did they every damage anything else????
  4. Its still on axel stands, if it aint going to drive properly up in the air whats the point dropping it and trying to reverse up my drive lol!! Scared of doing damage... its dark now i only fitted the prop earlier this evening.. i MAY try reverse tomorrow after work just to see what happens....
  5. There is only one way round the propshaft will insert into the gearbox isnt there??? As the wider splines (locators) seemed to be within 180degree...
  6. Yes the splines on the old one are perfect still. Pretty rare to manage i know, was hoping be just an easy swap and back on the road but thinking ive done some major damage now and gonna have to leave the car off road for some time
  7. I have a 2004 nissan 350z gt, with 100k miles. So 2 nights ago i was drifting several times enjoying myself anyways how it happened. I had far too many revs on and dropped the clutch and as it started gripping up i heard a bang and lost drive. I have blown a diff before because it was a welded one, but ive fit a low mileage standard diff and all has been well since, till now. So i have replaced the propshaft with another standard CF prop, second hand but looks fine -- went in the splines okay, bolted up okay, anyways i start the car up and the wheels go round fine, i put it into first and let the clutch out the wheels speed up and seems fine - soon as i touch the throttle the traction kicks in and doesnt let me apply power. if i put it in to second and let the clutch out the traction light is already flashing and if i attempt to put throttle on then i hear a knocking noise sounds like towards front of car (gearbox) ? :/ All driveshafts seem okay, now here i have a couple of shocks... Engine turned off - leave in any gear and i can still manually turn the rear wheels around .. surely they should lock out?? If i leave in neutral with car turned off i can maually turn one wheel and the opposite wheel turns the same way.. If i leave in gear with car turned off and i manually turn the wheel which surely shouldnt move... the opposite wheel rotates the oppposite direction... Help will it be Diff issues or Gearbox issues?? :'( :'( Thanks in advance currently not sure what to do now as on axle stands on my drive :(
