  1. Without knowing what spec the blue stuff is, it's impossible to say which is better. Given that the Motul stuff is excellent, and new brake fluid is usually better than old brake fluid, I'd say change it.
  2. If you're going to be mixing for that long (and at 4.5mm you've got quite a bit of wear left in the 050As), then I'd just stick with the 050As to be honest. They're not quite as good as the MPSS, but if you're happy with them then I'd stick with them.

It's a very good price, and well worth the outlay. They'll last longer than the FK453s too, so you may find you're not out of pocket as much as you may think
  4. Sorry, I don't understand your point. I wasn't aware that Aberdeen was a massive financial institution. The topic seems to be as much about Scotland's independance as its oil. My comment was a reply on what Stuarty said,
  5. But Wales is propped up heavily by England, who have London which is one of the biggest financial capitals in the world and brings in billions. Scotland has nothing like that. England would be much better off on its own, however I'd much rather we stayed together as a unique union.
  6. I can recommend the FK1000P, but it is a pain to take off if you leave it too long. Great stuff.
  7. We had to declare the PPP on our Scooby as it wasn't on the insurer records. Tbh I'd have told them anyway. I declared every last option on the 911 when I was with Admiral for a year. 2 pages worth of bits!
  8. You need to tell your insurer the answer to whatever they ask. Some want you to tell them about every single thing that doesn't come on a bone stock car (so the GT pack or Rays would could), some don't give a fig. The Admiral group insist you tell them about every thing, the specialists usually don't care. As always, check the policy wording and if in doubt just tell them anyway. Don't just purchase via Comparethemoneysupermeerkat, speak to a real person and get it in writing. No point in paying for the privilege of not being insured. With your list, I'd definitely declare the lot regardless.
  9. Number 11 is brilliant! Stumped on 6 though.
  10. Great choice, well played sir.
  11. If you aren't consistently locking your wheels when braking, then you don't need a BBK. Yes, they will also improve heatloss and therefore resist fade slightly better, but their big advantage is to allow a bigger surface area and more pistons so giving more bite before locking up. I also wouldn't consider a BBK unless you are running the best tyres available (so R888s or MPSS depending on track or street driving), as you'll get more grip from them and more braking as a result. If you already have uprated brake pads (DS2500 minimum), discs (DBA/PF or similar), fluid (RBF600) and tyres (as mentioned above) and you still find the brakes lacking, then a BBK is absolutely the right step forward. Looking at the cost, I'd be very temped to try the K-Sport ones out first: I've heard some people rubbish them and some people praise them, so I reckon they probably sit somewhere in the middle and for the money, they look great value. Anything above that (Brembo GT et al) are strong money, and probably only worth doing if you're running massive power or are incredibly serious about track work. From another perspective, they do allow you to run bigger wheels without your brakes looking puny if you're more interested in aesthetics than performance.
  12. To some extent I agree, but then I'm also glad that there were a lot of people watching and filming the bombs, and especially the aftermath. That kind of stuff can be both crucial to the investigation, as well watching how the emergency services (amongst others) react and how it could be improved next time. For all the folks that say that filming this kind of stuff is morbid and grisly, we're also fortunate that we live in an age where it's possible to record this, As far as the media coverage goes, I'd rather see hours of this than headline news consisting of a celebrity falling out of a club or whatnot. The point of a terror attack is to cause maximum disruption and casualties with minimum effort, and use that to disrupt the lives of the general public who then live in fear. Even if there was only one small piece of footage that only the headline news used on the hour, you cannot stop the internet with something like this and that would be just as widely seen as the mainstream news outlets.Terrorism has been going on for years (and always will), the fact we have more media to cover it now doesn't make a difference to events like this. Perhaps to the Batman shooting, but not things like this. I caveat that by saying we have no idea if this was genuine terrorism as we expect it to be by a group, or just one nutter with a grudge.

    Read this??

Been discussed a bit over on SELOC, although not that particular car. Basically the £10K goes into a saving scheme of some kind (whatever the dealer wants to do with it, really) and they tell you that in X years time it'll have made another £10K and you'll be able to pay off the rest of the finance in one hit. Never going to happen, and you'll end up in a situation where you'll suddenly have to find that great big lump sum or hand the car back AND lose your original £10K. Anyone daft enough to fall for it almost deserves it, IMHO.
  14. Whoops Easy job to get fixed, budget around £50 I'd say.
  15. On the other hand, it's a free bit of weight loss for just a littel bit of effort. I did it on the MX5, and I'm very glad I did. It makes the car feel a bit more 'racecar' too which gets you in the right frame of mind when driving it IYSWIM. If it's only a track car, I say go for it
  16. Heh, must be more frustrating for you than me fella!

Ah okay, I didn't realise the interior wasn't like that as stock, good job
  18. If you need to ask, then don't do it. Questionable taste aside, anything like that is asking for trouble. Would I personally find a pair of boobies (real or cartoon) on a sticker on a car offensive? No. Would I reasonably expect a member of the public to find it offensive? Yes I would, and for that reason I think it's a very bad idea.
  19. It's the same song. Well, it's not, but it's exactly the same structure: Punchy repeated verse, breakdown pre-chorus, then the music stops briefly before the chorus kicks in. I love Gangnam Style as much as the next one, but this is utter shite.

Apologies for the noob question as I don't know that much about these cars, but apart from the stereo and a Nismo badge on the front what have you done to it?
  21. If you're really after accuracy, the only place I'd trust is Surrey Rolling Road. Charlie prides himself on stuff like that, and whilst even he will admit where a dyno can fail, he'll be closer than anyone to the 'true' figure.
  22. It's the dyno. Go somewhere else next time if the figures really matter to you. DE hits 213, HR hits 219, sounds close enough to be correct in comparison.
  23. Except it partly is. It's why we love Webber but hate Schumacher.
  24. It used to be funny. How he's acting like a spoilt child. How is it funny when someone asks him a question that you'd quite like an answer to, but he just shrugs his shoulders and mumbles something crap and sulky? The least he could do is attempt to give an answer to the watching fans. I don't care he's grumpy when driving, I totally get that, but not when he's doing interviews.
