That's shitty then. Sorry to break it to you.

Second Sticky at the top of the forum tells you all you need to know.

Can't see any problem with it. Why would there be? Sticking a Nismo badge on if you had no Nismo bits would be shitty, but just putting genuine Nismo bits on?no problem at all, and better that that cheapy eBay crap or similar. Very odd question.

I'm no expert at all, but surely if you wired up the stock seat heater switch so that both terminals supplied power to the same cable, then it would be fine? As in: Power comes into A Power can then go to B or C Just wire the same output cable to both B & C so that either way you hit the switch, exactly the same result happens. No?

Personally I'm not in favour of posting up interesting eBay links as, like the OP says, all it does is make sure that no-one gets a bargain. The only exception I can see is if someone has made a Wanted thread for a specific part, at least that way you know you're directly helping a fellow member out.

I *THINK* ive been caught Speeding in excess of over 100

Which is what the s172 is for, which could still be sent out to the RK. -

Yes, the key here is 2 officers. Pete Only in Scotland, not in England or Wales. See my post above for what they need south of that border. -

Don't be! I know how you feel, but I'm 99.9% certain that you won't hear anything else. Even if you did (and assuming you have a clean licence) I suspect the most you'd get would be a fine of around £200-£600 depending on what you earn, and a 14 day ban max. That's nothing in the grand scheme of things, you could get round that if needs be. It really won't happen though mate, and you seem pretty remorseful about the whole thing too. Just remember those feelings you've got now next time you're tempted to speed, and ask yourself if it's worth the risk and you'll end up a much improved driver because of it. -

Right, there's a bit of nonsense being said in this thread, so let's try and clear it up a bit, shall we? This is all for England and Wales, I know Scotland is a little different. 1. You do not have to be stopped and issued with anything. If you did, then speed cameras wouldn't be acceptable. 2. They do not need to video you or take a photo or anything. All that is needed is a prior opinion of a single office of the law of excess speed. They don't have to measure anything, just that they believe you to be travelling above the speed limit. That's it. 3. Anything over 100mph is a court appearance. Not true, an officer always has discretion, and they can take you to court for 1mph over the limit if they wish. In practice, there are bands and you will usually end up with an FPN below certain speeds, but this is in their discretion. If he took your plate, he can go back to the station and fill the paperwork in. You'll then get a S.172 in the post just like you would if you got done via camera. You'd then have to nominate yourself and go down that whole route. This is very unlikely to happen, so as I said just take it as a warning and keep the speed down, you never know who is behind you. -

Take it as a lesson learned. If he din't get your name then it's unlikely you'll get anything further, however I suspect his language used was as a warning that if he had stopped you and done you properly for it then that's exactly the punishment you would be looking it. If you're not prepared to put up with the time, then don't do the crime. Everyone knows what the punishment for 100mph is, so why risk it? It's hardly fun or challenging. Sorry, don't mean to rant, I was stupid when I was a kid as well (50 in a 30 for no good reason) and I got a very similar warning. It really brought it home to me just what I was risking for so little gain, hopefully it will do the same to you. -
Good effort mate, always exhausting the first time but you learn so much for the next time too.
-
That definitely won't fit a UK Zed, 100%.
-
OEM for me, always. Never felt the need to change wheel nuts on any car, and if you just wanted them a different colour I'd get them painted.
-
As above, aluminimum is aluminium and I still wouldn't use it on a wheel nut. There are a few places on your car where heavier is actually better.
-
All ordered too, code seems to be fine now
-
Please tell me you read the documentation they send you, and not just go off that generic tick box exercise on the website?
-
Hooray, about time too!

Again, depends on what the insurer asks. You will find that Admiral group ask for anything fitted above a basic vehicle, so that would include the GT pack stuff and definitely all the bits you mention. I told them about every option on the 911 when I was insured with them for this very reason, and it was quite a list as you can imagine! Just tell them everything. Don't pay for the privilege of not being insured.
-
I've told insurers when going from normal tyres to trackday specials like R888s. None of them cared. I don't declare lightbulbs or oil, but I would declare brakelines.
-
I missed that line in the first post. Yes, do just that, great spot.
-
Nah, you'll get a warning letter first of all, normally it's about a month grace. That said, they can just fine you straight away. How would you SORN it without the V5 though? I've never SORN'd a car before, so don't know. I suspect a call to the DVLA might be in order, to clarify things. You never know, you may just get a helpful person.
-
And this is why you MUST make sure the old reg is taken off the car before you buy it If you get pulled, they'll do you for it and rightfully so. That's not a slight on you, but rather it's the only way to be otherwise they could hear all kinds of sob stories and scrotes would get away with it. It's a faff, but as far as I can see you've no way of taxing it.

Trial and error, really. I use a DAS 6 with some Menzerna pads and various polishes. I use Megs Ultimate Compound to cut with, followed by some Menzerna FF to get a glossy shine, and then some Blackfire AFPP which is simply amazing stuff. Using the above products you cannot damage the paint at all, it's impossible (unless you throw the machine at the car!) however that does mean you may be unable to remove the bigger scratches. For removing the swirls, it's spot-on and I'd stake my reputation on that. There's loads of other polishes you could use that are probably better and a bit more hardcore than the Megs UC, but that little lot works for me and I've tried it across numerous paint types now.
-
I'd have thought a rev3 tubby would've been a better bet? Or even keep the old one and add to it if it's a track car. Still, as long as he's happy that's the main thing.
-
Depends. On a car with full service history and that might be worth a bit more (like a last of line, low mileage HR) then I'd probably just throw £150 at a service and be done with it. On an older DE car then I'd just do an oil change myself, stamp the book myself and make sure I kept the receipts.
