  1. Players of GTAO who log in before the end of October will be getting $500,000 in-game free from R* in the forthcoming weeks. It's going to be deposited in two $250K lumps, to keep the game balanced. Apparently it's a way of saying sorry, which is nice.
  2. Truth. This man has it. Not true, it would be recorded as an accident but not a claim.
  3. EU, you can bring as much as you want as long as it's for personal use. That includes the Greek side of Cyprus.
  4. I guess that's how they have to make their money these days, as there's now so many different companies offering the same service. Isn't really fair though, but I guess it beats messing around with people on eBay.
  5. The problem here isn't with cash4phones, it's with BBK not reading the Ts&Cs. Sorry dude, I know you feel hard done by but you didn't have to use them, and they have you all the info they could at the time including the cost to send back, so really I don't see they've done anything wrong here. I agree, their price is a bit miserly, but that's up to them.
  6. As long as it reads somewhere between 0 and 60, or whatever the upper limit is, then it's all working fine.
  7. I've got two pairs of glasses, one with normal lenses in and one with sunglass lenses in. The sunglass ones work fine, the lens isn't anything particularly special.
  8. But seriously, just go to the Ombudsman and explain the situation. If you have the proof that they've said they'd pay you within 30 days, then they're going to get their knuckles rapped in a big way.
  9. Did you not read the small print before you signed up to the loans?
  10. Hamsters and cats. Deffo. If I had the space and time, I'd be Crazy Cat Man with hundreds of the buggers.
  11. Is it really?! Never knew that. My dad kept oscars until the angry sods ate all the other fish in the tank. Mean ol' bastards.
  12. You just need the correct paperwork to back up whatever it is you want to change, Mazda UK were really helpful with me in my situation.
  13. In terms of application, every wax is different. Some want to be done in the shade, some in the sun, some leave on for ages, some take off straight away. As a beginner to medium level wax, I find it hard to look past the Dodo Juice range. Hard wax lasts longer than soft wax and is better to put on with a pad, soft wax can look better but needs to be done by using your actual hands really. If you want something really good without going too mad, then the DJ Supernatural is immense for the money: It's what I use on my cars except the 911, which gets the ridiculously expensive Swissvax stuff. DJSN is a piece of cake to work with as well;, put it on how you like and take off how you like, it really doesn't care.
  14. But if you're not lowered, which the vast majority of cars are not, then it looks a bit daft. Like I say, it didn't bother me as my car wasn't lowered and I preferred the run 40 profile so I could use 888s, but then I prefer to see a bit of tyre than just wheel. I like cars that look like cars, not rollerskates. ;)
  15. Normally I'm all for name and shame, but I don't think it's justified in this case.
  16. 50/50 on the blame front then, I feel. You should've asked for pics (we insist on it in here for the very reasons you've encountered), but then if he's said that they're Horsham pipes and they're not then that's something you could've sent them back for and had a refund. Clear case of mis-rep, but it's a bit late now you've done stuff to them.

    Flashers

Yup, I prefer to wave though as it's less distracting for other road users.
  18. His loss. Might be worth contacting the DVLA to get it changed over. Sometimes they can be quite helpful, I had no issues getting the MX5 re-registered as a Eunos, for example.
  19. Did you see pics of them before you bought them? Did you ask about condition at all?
  20. Because 'better' is subjective. They don't look as good to my eyes as you end up with a larger gap between rubber and arch, but you do get a better choice of rubber so if your TCS can stand it, then I'd definitely switch as well.
  21. And how do you know which compounds are alike? Track day stuff like the 888 and 048s are easy as they tell you, but road tyres? None do, to my knowledge. As I believe I said in the original post, in the dry you're unlikely to notice the difference, but in the wet you really could. Which would seem to be backed up by your comment about the tread pattern, so thanks
  22. 370 isn't remotely comparable to an S2K, not really.
  23. Alpine, then Pioneer, then anything else as I must be getting desperate.

Budget? In terms of purely how many miles you will get out of a set per pound, and ignoring the fact that they also happen to be the best road tyre available today, you will not do better than the MPSS. They may cost you 20% more, but they'll give you 50% more miles. That said, if you really can't afford them then you could do worse than the FK453.
  25. Maybe this doesn't go into the same slot as all the other ones do then. Handy piece of kit. So how does the Bose control the iDevice then? Do you get full access to playlists and the like, or just everything?
