  1. Then the light was probably green for a long time before that, so you could reasonably have expected it to turn amber and reduced your speed accordingly. Look, I'm not trying to preach here as like I said we've all done it, but you are on a hiding to nothing on this one.
  2. I'd rather have the V8 over the V10 myself. Better noise, and you can use more of the power.
  3. Sorry to be the bearer of the bearer of bad news, but you're stuffed. In the first instance, it was poor driving that led to this situation. You should've left enough time and been travelling at an appropriate speed that you could stop in time. Amber means slow down and prepare to stop, not nail it. That said, we've all been there and done it. In the second instance, you have the word of two policemen against you, with zero footage to prove your innocence. In short, you're stuffed. It's more likely that the two officers were correct, as by your own admission you accelerated to get through the lights. I wouldn't even bother contesting it, you really are going to have to suck this one up and adjust your driving in the future. They cannot change the offence though if you challenge the FPN, so don't worry about that. However, having a TS10 code on your licence will horrendously affect your insurance premium, as jumping red lights is clearly dangerous and could lead to them making a big pay out.
  4. All you need to say is this: "As far as I know, there is no power increase for any of these modifications." That's it. No more, no less. That's the truth, you don't know as you've not done a before and after dyno, so how would you know? It's all about honesty, and if they're not happy with that answer then you'd need to go to another company.
  5. Either would work well. Tbh any colour works on black, do you have any other colours on the car at all?
  6. Everyone knows the DIF Lady!
  7. I really hope that you guys get the meme that line comes from, else I'm just going to look a right git
  8. Do it faggot.
  9. It is just an Audi. BUT WITH A MID-MOUNTED V10 AND ONE OF THE NICEST MANUAL 'BOXES YOU'LL EVER FIND Aside from the tiny boot space, I think they're ace.
  10. I also pixared your car for you lol
  11. How much are they from Nissan?
  12. You don't even have 2GB?! Jeez, you really need to get that sorted. Upgrade that, then upgrade the OS, then you'll be sorted.
  13. So German team signs up German driver ahead of German GP. Good timing for the press.
  14. How do you know? Personally, I'd go and buy a roll of Nismo stickers for £2 and put one of those on a standard cap and be done with it. Unless you're having overheating issues, then a rad cap is for dress-up only.
  15. Agreed, crash bar definitely needs replacing.
  16. WIM in MK? They are very good, they did the setup on my MX5 for me and it was very well done.
  17. I partially agree with Alex. Unless you get on a dyno, you'll never know if they've added power at all and that certainly wasn't why you fitted them, was it? I would declare no power gains. I would however declare everything, BUT that depends on what they're asking for. If they ask for everything that doesn't come with a standard car (Admiral group do this) then you must tell them about the GT pack extras. If they ask for any non-factory fitted mods, then you don't. Read the text, follow it to the best of your ability, and if in doubt just disclose everything and let them make the call.
  18. In theory it's not a bad idea, although given how the site works with archiving threads now I wonder if it would just be easier to create your own set of bookmarks within your browser. You could then sync that across all platforms, if using a decent browser.
  19. *hands jacket* *opens door* *closes door* *locks door*
  20. Blimey. What the hell is up with those pea shooter exhausts?!
  21. Easily done Colloquialism :p
  22. If you have access to a Torx bit, remove the steering wheel. At the very least remove the battery and/or pull a coilpack. Basically anything to make it really awkward to steal.
  23. Heat, every time. Working in the cold sucks balls. Mate used to have no heating in his, and it was awful. One electric heater later and it's bliss.
  24. I think you're missing my point still matey. You will still have 8 years, but if the letter of NCB they give you only says 6 years then you can only state six years on your next policy. Your next insurer will only take what that letter states, so it's important to clarify the maximum NCB they will confirm. When you say you have a panel filter, I assume you mean an OEM one? Not changed to a Cosworth one? And an Uprev could mean a huge change with eSure, as you'll be increasing the power output with an engine remap: Definitely worth checking first.
