Daft question time, please don't take these to heart as I'm genuinely interested and think I may have been a bit harsh in the first place after your last post OP!
1. Is this your first car?
2. Is this your first petrol car?
3. How many years have you been driving for?
4. Do you drive any other vehicles regularly?
Alonso wants titles, not money. Realistically that means Merc or RB, unless Ferrari show some massive improvement in which case he'll stay put.
McLaren are not the team to drive for right now. Button would be better off trying to find a different team, unless he's happy just pulling in a wage.
Why would he? RB are still better than Ferrari despite a crap engine, and McLaren are bloody awful despite having an amazing engine. If he was going to move anywhere, it would be to MB but that's very unlikely given how Rosberg has just signed a new deal and Lewis is the joint best driver on the grid.
Maybe Alonso will fancy a move to RB, but I can't see Seb going the other way.
Too young, IMHO. No doubt he's talented (RB/TR don't sign crap drivers), but he hasn't even begun to learn his race craft yet. Where does this leave people like Carlos Sainz Jr? Too old already? Left on the scrapheap at 19?
This time last year it was a toss up between JEV and Ricciardo for the seat at RB. Now JEV is out on his ear without a seat as yet. Tough sport, this.
Given there is no engine brake in the Zed, then what else could he be talking about? Off the gas, no power being applied, downhill, same speed. Engine braking, 100%.
I've never used WinBackup, although I do have it set up. In short though, what you really want is something that will copy an image of your drive: WinBackup likely just protects your files. That's my assumption anyway.
What planet are you from? Engine location and driven wheels has nothing to do with engine braking: Please don't confuse the OP anymore than he already is!
GMballistic explains it best, although diesels do engine brake as well just nowhere near as much due to them working via compression rather than spark.
I was only half joking.
If you want it for the look, just buy a gauge and connect a short bit of hose to it, then run that hose down to somewhere no one will ever see and leave it there. Saves the cost and the hassle.
Dollar specifically asked for my parent's licences AND IDP when they went out in a March before they would rent them a car. Not a problem anymore as they bought the Camero, but done companies do ask.
Actually, that's a good point: Does the budget allow for PCP as well as HP? Because that's going to open up a whole new world if so...
Or hell, go leased and do it that way.
If you don't lock the brakes, you're not braking hard enough. Make sure you lock them on the first lap, at least that way you'll have a measure of them.
Not sure how much experience you have with MR cars, but it's a hell of a lot different than FR so plenty of judgement on balance is needed.
