  1. He's out of money, basically. He can no longer afford the seat, but this is the risk you take as a pay driver.
  2. I'm only jealus because that's better than anything I can grow
  3. So what engine have you got in this green bad boy?
  4. Does it act on the brakes at all? If so, you might want to turn it off straightaway, in case it kills your brakes.
  5. I foresee a green room in the future for this thread...
  6. Utterly ridiculous idea. The last thing most people need is more distractions. No-one needs to read texts or tweets or status updates when driving. And hand gestures? Really? Yeah, 'cos they work flawlessly on other devices and at no point are you left waving your hands around in various crazy states trying to get it to work! Love the bit about not having to refocus because it is set at a 2m focal length too: That just about sums up how far down the road many people look.
  7. Is that still going? Blimey.
  8. That's alright then, I was massively disappointed with how big the boot was on the tintop.
  9. Have you tried a Camaro for thee guys plus luggage yet?!
  10. That's cool, it's just bizarre that you've never noticed engine braking before. Either that, or there is a genuine issue with your car.
  11. Don't, the MR2 is now going to cost me a small fortune for this relatively straightforward thing not going right. I bloody hate cars! Weather is looking like it'll be dry at least, so fingers crossed.
  12. The Elise is going hooning straight after a respray?! That's going to be mullered by the time you guys get back. Not sure I'd be doing a Euro hoon after an engine swap with no time to bed everything in either, but good luck to you all!
  13. If they did, then they'd be racing in the top levels already because they'd be cheaper!
  14. I suspect you'll fail the driveby with decats, but hopefully I'll be proved wrong Definitely bringing the 911 now, the MR2 won't be ready in time.
  15. Have to say I'm with Colin, a diesel CIvic is about as reliable as you're likely to find for reasonable money, so I'd suck up the image and drive that knowing I had something special waiting. You don't want to be getting something that gives you no end of trouble.
  16. But look at the young footballers: Talent there in spades, but often making the wrong decision at the wrong time because they don't have the experience yet. If it was purely a matter of talent and fitness, they'd be miles ahead of the older guys but that's not the case. Every now and then you get a superstar who breaks the mold (Lewis, Rooney, Woods) but for the most part it takes a bit of time to understand what's going on around you. They may look amazing running at lower levels with fellow kids, but put them in a more even playing field against wily old sods like Alonso and they're going to get caught out. What happens if it doesn't work out for him? In three years time he could get the boot, and then at age 20 his career could be over. After all, nobody wants a washed up F1 rookie.
  17. Mate of mine bought a nice diesel 159 last year, lovely looking car. All went fine, no probs at all. Until it randomly started ingesting bits of the engine, one step at a time.
  18. People are morons. Never forget that.
  19. Just get a new one, for what they cost it's not worth the hassle IMHO.
