  1. I wear my gloves and boots when I go for a blat in the MR2. I still obey the laws of the road. Not sure what difference there is? People always wear the gear of their heroes. Doesn't natter if it's football, motor racing or cycling.
  2. Well yeah, because you don't own a Beetle. Seriously though, take a step back dude, that would look horrendous.
  3. It was never about cost saving, it was about doing away with a redundant system that all the public were moaning about. Now they've got their wish, I hope they're happy about it...
  4. They're actually doing the conversion in a single day, which for a proper garage isn't too hard. We used to do them in a long day in a garage as a bunch of amateurs! Pax ride more than welcome matey, still got the stock seat in. Stu, I don't think it's that they wouldn't cover me as such, more that they wouldn't cover such a drastic power increase. I can see their point and clearly it's just a rule of the underwriter, but I'm just glad that someone would take a punt. Also fair play to Nicola at A-Plan, she spent a good while this afternoon sorting it all out for me, back and forth with phone calls.
  5. Do it. Don't think, just do it. Every driver should own one once in their lives. With the value of them holding firm, you could buy one and run it for a year, then sell it and not lose any money.
  6. I think that makes you cooler than me
  7. I happen to look good in tweed
  8. You can, we're all doing it this year
  9. You always will from meow on
  10. Suddenly remembered today that I should probably let my insurers know about the turbo, and then discovered that they won't cover me At this point the sensible thing to do is to forget the whole thing. So I promptly cancelled that policy and took out another one! Lost about £200 due to cancelling a policy mid-term, but it's not too bad really. My own silly fault, didn't even think it would be an issue at all. Am picking the car up tomorrow from one garage with hopefully functioning brakes, then dropping it off for the conversion on Saturday at another which should be done Monday, so I might have half a chance of having the car ready for Bedford next weekend. Hopefully...
  11. Don't be so catty.
  12. Illegal isn't quite the right term to use, but you are correct in that the RA would be made and those things would be considered.
  13. We're only pulling your leg mate, it's internet law that when people ask about being naughty it's automatically them wot dun it
  14. Any chance of some more details on this? You can use the 'your friend' example if you want
  15. Why on earth would it be illegal for police to chase a fleeing motorbike?! Not illegal in the slightest. As with all pursuits, a risk assessment will be made and the decision to pursue made on the results of that.
  16. Well, I don't want to say I told you so, but... /smugface
  17. How are you getting on with the Insanity? Have you got the full programme?
  18. I haven't been to the gym nor eaten proper healthy in a month, next week is going to be a shock to my system
  19. Welcome to my life!
  20. It's all guesswork atm, as it's a car meant for GT rather than the actual roads. I have no desire for a £100K sports car with a 2L four pot. Just like I have no desire for an i8 at that price with a 3-pot.
  21. Corvette called, they want their car back. Looking good, but that interior is still 100% concept, the wing mirrors are too small (EU regs) and those wheels are still too big. I also hope that they're not actually thinking about using CL wheels, those things are more of a pain that they're worth on road cars.
  22. Titanfall and MS:GZ are currently half price in the store. Go buy, both a bargain at that price.
  23. 100% = No fee's 6months = 10% Fee Monthly = 5% fee You sure that's the right way around ..and not 6 months 5% and Monthly 10%..!! Nope, when the 1st thread cropped up about this 6months ago, some one posted these figures. Apparently they want to encourage people to use DD Not quite. There is no additional percentage for paying the whole year up front, and the percentage cost for paying bi-annually drops from 10% to 5%. The cost increase for maying monthly will also be 5% DVLA website link
  24. Oh no wait I'm like totally kidding
