  1. It can work, but only on older cars or where the car isn't yours and you have zero mechanical sympathy
  2. I'll be at Bedford with the rest of the crew on here on Aug 23rd, if you fancy joining us? Still don't know if I'll be in the '2, though.
  3. I don't I don't like the positioning of Merc DRLs so low down, but otherwise I think they're a good idea for the most part. It's a shame they've become necessary because people are too stupid to use dipped lights appropriately, but on the other hand they've added a dimension to the design of cars which has been interesting to watch develop.
  4. Dipped beam is not just so you can see, but so others can see you. The amount of people I see driving grey cars on a grey road on a grey day and think that they stick out like a sore thumb is scary.
  5. Do you hit your knee on the wheel every time you go from accelerator to brake then?
  6. I have absolutely no idea what car I'm taking to this now. Looking more and more likely I'll end up in the 911
  7. If a lodger is a must, can I make a suggestion that you choose them? I don't think your Mum has a great track record in picking the right people to share her life with. At least get a veto.
  8. Well thanks for that, blizzard now confirmed
  9. I cheered Pendleton on, mainly so I could see her lovely bottom some more
  10. If you want an XE, you're going to need to get your letter of intent in now, I would suggest. I can see these being very popular, witha wait list to boot.
  11. More like a Friday afternoon before a bank holiday and finished by the work experience lad car!
  12. Ask Chesterfield about Jag being high on customer satisfaction
  13. I had to read that three times to find the question Nah, a little thing like that won't matter. Are you doing any exercise to go with it?
  14. My thoughts exactly. I have very little sympathy over that accident, as it was clearly avoidable by the injured party. Quite simply, you never, ever, EVER enter a live track. Ever.
  15. Leather isn't even an option?! That's bonkers. I guess it would've made it even more expensive if they had, but I can't help but think they'd have sold more too.
  16. Oh I've no doubt they offer them, but if they're all booked out then they can't give you what they don't have. Porsche do the collection thing too, it's a really nice touch.
  17. Yup, cost. This is what happens when cars drop massively in value, they get picked up by skinflints who don't appreciate that these were nigh-on £30k cars when new. Probably been run on 95 as well, to save a few quid.
  18. Will the guy in the US not ship?
  19. Maybe there should be a constant BEEEEEEEP when the fog lights are on, like when you unbuckle your seat belt. That'd stop people leaving them on without due reason.
  20. I hate the fact that Ford don't have separate dials for the front and rear fogs, and that the fronts come on first. During the average year, I might need to use rear fogs about ten times. In all my driving life, I've needed to use front fogs ONCE. It's a stupid design, and just contributes towards people inappropriately using front fogs. Ford, you are a bunch of muppets.
  21. Looks a billionty times better in black than white. Very nice matey No leather seats though?
  22. Rear fogs should be on in heavy rain. They're meant for low-visibility conditions. I would very much like to see a 'wipers on, lights on' law introduced. Dipped only, of course, but it should be brought in. Also, thumbs up to the Chinese, good on 'em although the punishment is for people using main beam rather fog lights.
  23. No probs, now go spend the cash, they're ace!
  24. Possible airlock, leading to overheating and the coolant being dumped out of the expansion tank. Bleed the whole system through, just to make sure.
  25. I don't get the thread title at all Welcome along!
