  1. See, I know I'll go back to TR at some point, because I really enjoyed it. Some games I won't (prob BF4 now, certainly DR3), but for the most part I like to have the option at least. I sold too many consoles and games when I was younger, and now I get pangs to replay the old classics which means I have to hit eBay and buy them all over again. I'm not making that mistake twice.
  2. It is, and it's also really easy to put it back on, but that's still a seriously impressive set of numbers mate.
  3. On a serious note, a 997 is likely to lose less over a given period than anything else mentioned here, except maybe the Elise or Atom. Might be worth thinking about. M6 is also that kind of money, and is one of my personal favourites.
  4. Great numbers guys, that's gotta be an incentive for carrying on
  5. Because I never sell games, and my time is more important to me. That, and driving to the shops costs money too! Convenience is the future. Embrace it
  6. Mercs are for poseurs, BMW are for drivers. Audis are for folks that sit somewhere in between!
  7. If you can adjust your brain to the layout, you'll find the 911 to be just about the most rewarding car to drive quickly ever. If you can't, then the Cayman is best balanced sports coupe for sensible money. The 997 is so much better than the M3, it's not even funny. The only other thing I'd suggest is an Elise, purely because it's something every petrolhead should own once in their life. Ultimately the drive will make the decision for you, as well as the 5% risk on all M97 engines, but I used to detest Porsches until I actually drove one. Now I don't ever want to be without a 911, which will make next month all the more sad.
  8. Lightened flywheel is a must in these cars, it transformed my NA car. Exedy Stage 2 clutch should give you the feel you're after, or certainly any 6 puck clutch certainly will.
  9. Neither, get Tomb Raider if you've not played it already. Best game on the system.
  10. Better than you'd think, given the price. It's got enough recoil on it to give the impression of bouncing off a skin, the only downside is the other pedal is identical which is ace for double kick action, but it's only average if using as a hi-hat. Still, for what it costs and being able to fold it up it's brilliant, I think.
  11. It's always the same with new consoles, always has been. First year gets nothing, then the shift happens and all the games come.
  12. It's got my name on it in my pic, so therefore it's mine
  13. Ooooh that's my car, that is!
  14. Why don't you tell us what you've tried, before we list every single possible cause of a misfire ever? It would make life a lot easier! Also, you need to sort the low idle out first IMHO.
  15. I bought mine on a whim, only went to look at it and deliberately took the Zed so I couldn't buy it due to no room. I loved it, and then ended up unpacking it just to fit it in the car on the way home!
  16. Wait, people still buy games on disc?! Battlefield needs to be given time to get into it, I think. Ignore the SP as it's crap, but 32 vs 32 MP is a hoot, even if you're crap like me. TF is just good fun, but again it's the nuances that make it great.
  17. When I got to the bit about the second sh*tty boyfriend, I was already starting to think that your Mum has issues. By the third, I was just feeling utter despair for you mate. Honestly, at this point I'd be dangerously close to looking out for myself above everything else. Let your Mum go and live back with your Nan, go with her for a month or two, then get the hell out of there and find your own place. Rent something, anything, but if you don't you're going to be saddled with her mistakes for your life. It's going to be hard, and it's going to cause a huge row, but you need to talk to your Mum and point out her mistakes in clear detail or she's going to do this all over again, and you know it. In the same way that parents often have to tell their kids exactly what they're doing wrong (and let's be honest, they're normally right too!), you're going to have to turn the tables and do this to your Mum. No nicey-nicey, just be blunt but factual. If you love her, and I've no doubt you do very much, then you're going to have to intervene for her own good. I have massive, massive sympathy for you fella, I really do. Always here if you need a chat, and if you want to get away for a few days you're more than welcome to crash at my place.
  18. It's really not. More gremlins still hiding, more stuff drying out etc. Average miles in great condition is the way to go, with modern cars. Designed to be used regularly.
  19. Okay, so your user name is probably the most apt one I've ever seen.
  20. That didn't make any difference!
  21. Well duh, that's just common sense. Steve, did you ever try those tyres that made the coloured smoke?

Sadly it's an ugly car, and it'd only be like putting makeup on Nora Batty* in the end. *Bet the young 'uns on here google that.
  23. I got ID'd when buying a PS1 with RE2 at Dixons. Wouldn't have minded but I was 18 at the time, so the cashier must've thought I might be 14! I had no ID on me, so I paid on my credit card which she seemed happy enough with.
