You keep saying the geo/alignment is correct, but exactly what are the numbers? It might well be within OEM spec, but that doesn't mean that it will feel planted at speed.
  2. No jealousy here, I'm still out here in Davenport chilling out quite nicely after my day trip down to Miami beach yesterday
  3. Nope, seems perfectly reasonable. No different to paying a higher premium on your car insurance to reduce your excess. If you're comfortable you're not going to bin it (and you're really not, loads of run off and an instructor yelling at you to go slower) then don't pay the extra £20.
  4. Did you not Streetview it before you left? Schoolboy error
  5. Be interested to know what you think. Personally, I think it's a great car with masses of appeal for those who want a do-everything hot hatch, but I couldn't imagine myself shelling out that sort of money for one.
  6. Doesn't matter if there is, as long as the buyer purchases in good faith. However, given the price of this car then this would be prudent to check, so far as is reasonably practicable. If there is a logbook loan though, you're stuffed regardless.
  7. This doesn't sound right to me. Is a 370Z worth £12K as a Cat D after two years? Well, possibly. However, if I were selling there's no way I'd take a £4K hit on the first offer unless I knew that actually I was getting the better deal. Even at £16K as a Cat D it's good value IF that was the only damage. Now, the other scenario here is that the insurance co took a gamble on making a bit of cash. They wrote it off and paid out on the basis that they could repair and sell for more than that. I find that to be highly unlikely, but not impossible. How much is a new bumper and sideskirt from Nissan, painted and fitted? About £4K? Hell, let's double that for the sake of a bit of fun and call it £8K to fix. They usually won't write a car off below 50% of the value, so they reckon that a ONE YEAR OLD 370Z WAS ONLY WORTH £16K?? Yeah, do the sums on that and something clearly isn't ringing true here. Don't get me wrong, if we're all barking up the wrong tree then this is possibly the best Zed bargain I've ever witnessed, and well done sir. All I would say is to be very careful, and get a Zed specialist to look the car over as well as the AA guy (the AA will be quite generic, you really need to get someone who knows what they're looking for to have a nose). Even if that costs you another £200, if it checks out then it's still a bargain.
  8. VW are white goods. If Kia are like Logik (cheap and cheerful, and much better than they used to be), and Toyota like Hotpoint (only bought because they used to be good), then VW are like Miele (presumptuous, expensive, better quality but not by that much that you should be spending that much extra).
  9. See, I know I'll go back to TR at some point, because I really enjoyed it. Some games I won't (prob BF4 now, certainly DR3), but for the most part I like to have the option at least. I sold too many consoles and games when I was younger, and now I get pangs to replay the old classics which means I have to hit eBay and buy them all over again. I'm not making that mistake twice.
  10. It is, and it's also really easy to put it back on, but that's still a seriously impressive set of numbers mate.
  11. On a serious note, a 997 is likely to lose less over a given period than anything else mentioned here, except maybe the Elise or Atom. Might be worth thinking about. M6 is also that kind of money, and is one of my personal favourites.
  12. Great numbers guys, that's gotta be an incentive for carrying on
  13. Because I never sell games, and my time is more important to me. That, and driving to the shops costs money too! Convenience is the future. Embrace it
  14. Mercs are for poseurs, BMW are for drivers. Audis are for folks that sit somewhere in between!
  15. If you can adjust your brain to the layout, you'll find the 911 to be just about the most rewarding car to drive quickly ever. If you can't, then the Cayman is best balanced sports coupe for sensible money. The 997 is so much better than the M3, it's not even funny. The only other thing I'd suggest is an Elise, purely because it's something every petrolhead should own once in their life. Ultimately the drive will make the decision for you, as well as the 5% risk on all M97 engines, but I used to detest Porsches until I actually drove one. Now I don't ever want to be without a 911, which will make next month all the more sad.
  16. Lightened flywheel is a must in these cars, it transformed my NA car. Exedy Stage 2 clutch should give you the feel you're after, or certainly any 6 puck clutch certainly will.
  17. Neither, get Tomb Raider if you've not played it already. Best game on the system.
  18. Better than you'd think, given the price. It's got enough recoil on it to give the impression of bouncing off a skin, the only downside is the other pedal is identical which is ace for double kick action, but it's only average if using as a hi-hat. Still, for what it costs and being able to fold it up it's brilliant, I think.
  19. It's always the same with new consoles, always has been. First year gets nothing, then the shift happens and all the games come.
  20. I never sleep.
  21. It's got my name on it in my pic, so therefore it's mine
  22. Ooooh that's my car, that is!
  23. Why don't you tell us what you've tried, before we list every single possible cause of a misfire ever? It would make life a lot easier! Also, you need to sort the low idle out first IMHO.
  24. I bought mine on a whim, only went to look at it and deliberately took the Zed so I couldn't buy it due to no room. I loved it, and then ended up unpacking it just to fit it in the car on the way home!
