  1. Or sell it and let someone else enjoy it. I'm an Essex lad through and through so Cossies are in my blood, but they're hardly a GTO or F1. They're a bit ugly, not great to drive, and don't make a great noise. Cash in before the rest of the world catches up.
  2. I've done that before. Admittedly only when it was clear there were no pedestrians, but on the odd occasion when the road layout is awkward I've done it. Doesn't mean I think it's right, though.
  3. Will, you live on the bloody game! Mine's packed away for the house move, but it'll come out soon enough. My Xbone went from standby right through to 4OD to watching Educating The East End tonight, without me going anywhere near the controller. How people can live without Kinect, I don't know.
  4. More paint on the road, more danger.
  5. Well, you know what? It's not often I admit I'm wrong but I'll do it now. I thought this project was going to end up on the cheap and a disaster like most others, but I was wrong. I know you're not quite at the end yet, but I've been very impressed with your workmanship on this mate. I hope the end result is what you're after, fair play sir
  6. Cold water does a very good job. Yes, seriously.
  7. My ex got done for pulling out into a biker. 4pts for careless driving, biker broke his ankle. Stupid bint.
  8. No, you don't leave modern engines to warm up. You start them then you drive off immediately, but with mechanical sympathy so basically keep the revs to under 3k until the oil (not coolant) is warm. Then go nuts
  9. I think we all empathy for self-determination, I just query whether it's ultimately worth it if you end up worse off.
  10. But that's the old one
  11. He's wrong. No engine should ever be revved from cold.
  12. So you'd be happy with an independent Scotland with the Euro? I don't think I'd want to take the risk if the roles were reversed, but fair play for sticking to what you believe
  13. He could package up his hot air, that's for sure. I think the biggest issue with this referendum is that it went political. Too many people see Salmond as the face of Yes, and Call Me Dave as the face of No (despite Alistair "Eyebrows" Darling being the poster boy). It's not the SNP vs Cons, it's not Scottish Labour vs Regular Labour, it's simply one idea against another. Salmond won't be here forever, and the ConDem government will be here for an even shorter time. If people put aside their party affiliations and actually looked at the issues, we'd all be much better off in this debate. Oh, and anyone who mentions Braveheart should be slapped. It's the equivalent of Godwin's Law in this debate, it really is.
  14. Even more fun!
  15. I want one of these for my cats. That's be ace, a jumping spider!
  16. Greenergy produce Momentum, actually.
  17. At least he can't blame his slow interweb connection!
  18. It's quite apt, as well
  19. The closest refinery will supply them. Doesn't matter who owns it.
  20. Actually, I should clear up that the driver in that vid was an utter tool and deserves to have their licence removed permanently. My last post read more about me apportioning blame to the biker, which wasn't right.
  21. Any ideas what the driver was prosecuted for? I couldn't see in that article. Silly, silly biker. Not necessarily for the speeds he was doing, or even the location (although overtaking on hatched areas or where they're around is just asking for trouble), but why would you record yourself speeding? I don't get that at all. As far as most bikers round here, and I think I said this the other day, most of them are fine. I give space, they give me a leg wave (which I love!), and all is well. And then there's the pillocks who do 100mph on the dual carriageway, come flying up behind you and then split between you when you're passing another vehicle, just at the point when I'm about to indicate and move over for them they come flying up the inside. Utter morons. Filtering is fine, splitting at crazy speeds is not.
  22. Not sure I still see it as a problem. If you know you're right, then they're just going to look silly in court and 99% of them wouldn't take the risk.
  23. How many miles have you driven it in that time? Have you actually gotten any pleasure from the ownership experience in terms of driving, or is it just nice to look at?
  24. Cars should be driven, not kept in storage. Flog it and take the cash.
  25. It makes zero difference, really. As long as the fuel is to the correct BS number, which anything above 97 will be, then you'll get more difference from fresh 97 than stale 99.
