  1. P Zeros are shocking tyres. You may not want MPSS, but in stock sizes they're close enough in price. I'd actually rate the 453 as significantly better than P Zeros, and by some margin. Also, if you're willing to shell out for new wheels then an extra £200 on decent tyres that will last you so much longer than anything else, you're actually saving money! For me, the biggest downside to bigger wheels is the weight. Unless you spend £££ on ultra light wheels, then you're adding weight to the worst possible place on the car which will make you accelerate slower, increase braking distances, and affect the turn-in for the worse. You'd be better off lowering it and changing the colour of the wheels if you want it to look better.
  2. It's in MK. That alone puts me off.
  3. If you know you're not going to crash, they're a bargain.
  4. In fairness I can see why the buyer is annoyed, but this is a breakdown in comms on both sides I feel. Gents, this is why deposits and clear comms are a must.
  5. Surely, if you were selling you'd request a deposit Dan, as opposed to expect the buyer to offer one? I would indeed, but if the seller doesn't then a buyer should. I've done that before when buying cars, just to make sure the seller knew I was serious. I suspect that once the seller realised just how much Paypal were going to take in fees, he realised that he needed to up the cost a bit.
  6. Agreed, have you paid a deposit? Did you offer to?
  7. That's lovely, good choice of wheels sir
  8. Actually, I wouldn't use them either! I'm like you mate, quality of cover over a few quid saved on the premium.
  9. If I give you my car details, can you get free insurance for me instead? It's a good point actually, I'd quite like to see something like that enshrined in law too. I don't expect their very best cut-throat price, but I do expect something sensible that offers both myself a good deal as well as letting them make a sensible profit based on what they might have lost chasing me as a customer.
  10. I haven't done a big eat for ages. I should totally do that again soon.
  11. Out of all the things that bother me, that one isn't even on the radar. Why would people not recommend someone they've had good service from?!
  12. Cheers fella, much appreciated
  13. Loads here for you My350z is the best place for that stuff.
  14. ^^^Tru dat.
  15. Either way, it's b*llocks and a waste of money.
  16. 200bhp/ton is enough for the road, IMHO. Much more and you can't use it all, much less and you start questioning overtakes.
  17. The LS swap is far easier and has been done multiple times.

    Which Plate

Neither, you have a nice car now so show some class A7TAK I went for, that other one is just ghastly!
  19. Agreed, 0-60 is for pub p*ssing contests, it's a useless stat in the real world. 30-150 is where you sort the men from the boys, then 100-200 for the men from the Chuck Norris.
  20. In terms of tools, Halfrauds normally have a sale or offer on one of their bulk kits that have a selection of the basics, and they're usually pretty good value. You can end up spending silly money on tools, but I will happily recommend spending the extra on the Halfords Advanced range of ratchets and ratchet spanners: They've saved my life many a time, and have a lifetime warranty too.
  21. Mainly because of: ...as it sounds like something ripped word for word from the Government document for it
  22. Good, aren't they?
  23. I think it's so the government can hire on behalf of London based businesses and pay 'local' wages and allow even more exponential growth of the borough and outsource cheaper labour with viable options for commuting. You must be a manager. Or in PR.
  24. 99% of road cars are equal until you get to ridiculous speeds. On an average road, I reckon most people could keep up with anything in anything. It's all a matter of risk/testicle size. I have very little problem hustling my truck on the country lanes home from work at the same pace I take them in the BMW or the MR2.
  25. Wasn't misplaced at all, she was a c*nt.
